Looking for a good series to watch with my 16 year old son. We have access to Netflix, HBOMax & Apple TV.
We've already watched Friday Night Lights, All-American, Ted Lasso, Raising Dion, Umbrella Academy, Lupin, Cobra Kai and probably a few that I'm forgetting.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! It's one way he and I connect so always on the lookout for new series.

The West Wing.
When DS was a young teen he really loved this and we re-watch it as a family (and the kids on their own).
It made him realize the importance of voting--Decisions are made by those who show up.
He has spearheaded voter registrations at both is high school and university.

Take a look and see if The Nevers might appeal to him.

Do you have Amazon Prime? The Boys is really good - it's sort of Games of Thrones-ish in terms of violence and sex though, so I don't know how you stand with that. But the storyline is excellent.

Oh, thought of another one.
Last Chance U on Netflix. We all enjoyed that documentary series, even DS, who is not athletic, LOL.

My son and I used to watch Alone (survival type show), Futurama, and medical shows and Hallmark channel movies that we made fun of the entire time.
To this day I'll still call out "Twelve units, STAT" for a scratch because of one stupid medical show. He doesn't "get" every medical mistake but he knows more than most other non-medical folk thanks to us watching that crap together. 🤓
But for real on Futurama, it was such a great show!

I think Outer Banks is just terrible, but I know that the late teen- early 20s group loves it.
The Office Friends Schitt's Creek
are all very popular in that age range.

Titans just started Season 3 tonight. It is a dark live action series based on the Teen Titans DC comics. If he enjoyed the Umbrella Academy, he’ll probably like this one.
Below Decks - a Star Trek animated series - just started Season 2 tonight too. It is light-hearted and fun.
Along that theme, if you guys haven’t watched The Orville, you really should. It is an awesome spoof on the whole space genre.

Psych is the best show ever and seriously perfect for a 16yo boy. I love Monk almost just as much, but you have to watch a few episodes before giving up. It's frustrating to watch someone with severe OCD. But all my kids love, love, LOVED these two shows. The Mentalist is a good one - a little darker, but really good.

Do you watch reality shows? A new season of Survivor is probably starting soon. It is fun watching those shows with a family member or friend! (I'd also recommend Big Brother but the season started over a month ago).

My son (almost 16) and I just watched Breaking Bad and then Better Call Saul. Now we are watching Friends until Season 5 of BCS is available for us to watch.
