Oh wow. Thats close to the original. Probably closer that TSM would want someone to be to their products.

I do think in this case their new product is different enough. I still have an icky taste in my mouth about her childish fit over the dividers though.

It's also the "patent pending" that rubs me the wrong way. That is so my stinky petunia-esk.

This one does not bother me...the product is different that the ink stand, fitting inside the base of the ink pad, not something you put your inkpad into. OTOH, yes, "patent pending" almost has me hating on it already. It's a tool. Like a screwdriver. Or a hammer. Should a sofa be patented? A chair? A bbq? A propane tank? A hand-mixer, a stand-mixer, a pair of scissors? OTs and PTs have been doing a similar trick with dycem for ages. www.amazon.com/s?k=dycem&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 It is fabulous material to hold things in place - like plates that slide around on people who can only use 1 arm, shelves to hold cups on them, under exercise bikes, under pillows for patient's who can't keep their pillows in place, under wheelchair cushions that slide around... I think we could all be making our own "ink stands" simply by owning a piece of dycem to put under our ink pads if we wanted. Patent pending

I'm sooo sure TSM thought of them first. Considering the other business was promoting them 25 weeks ago. What is that like 8+ months ago? TSM item just looks like a more streamlined product but the same thing.
Correction: Instagram says 28 weeks ago.

I think it's different enough, but this 'patent pending ' bs is getting old. I like the TSM one better, doesn't take up lots of room and the price should be better too.

No comment on this item but I really love the stamp market scissors. Their fussy cut scissors and large trimmers are amazing. I own tons of scissors including Tim holtz, cutter bee, the ones jenn Shurkus loves, but think these are awesome!

I totally agree with using Dycem! I first saw it years ago when I worked as a CNA in a nursing home. I purchased a box from Amazon and use a piece of it on my Tim Holtz stamp platform. I took a piece to work to use on my desk under my tape dispenser. Now I’m going to cut a piece to use under my Distress Ink pads.

Totally forgot about the Dycem as well. Used to use when I was a special education teacher. I’m heading to Amazon now…

Thanks!

Hate when I have to buy support products for products. In this case I don’t see a need for either. The Dycem stuff sounds great though!

Those Stamp Market Tiles look totally different to me than the other ink pad holders on the market currently. I thought the other ones were kind of bulky, and while I wouldn't buy the tacky tiles either, they at least make more sense to me. They're more compact. I guess I like that they're for individual ink pads instead of this big thing on your workspace that you put a few ink pads in. If I needed an ink pad holder I'd buy the dycem that kitbop linked. That looks like it could be really handy for lots of things in the house.

I feel like it’s definitely different enough from the ink stand products. The ink stands hold the lids next to the ink pad so you can see which color you’re blending with and not mix up the lids, and not have to put the inky side down on your table. Yes, I think they’re too bulky/big for my tiny desk, and I don’t want to have to store them between uses. Putting a color label on the sides of your ink pads would work for identification, but I think people who are big into blending would still appreciate being able to see the lid. It’s also good for people doing videos so the viewer can see which colors they’re using clearly, and maybe that’s their key market - it seems like it streamlines things for people who are videoing their blending.
I wonder how well the tacky tiles will work if people have Velcro under their pads to hold their blenders. I think I’d be annoyed to have to keep track of the various sizes and wouldn’t want to buy one for each ink pad - I’d probably get 4 and switch them out between pads, same as I do with blending handles. I’m sure the price point will be off putting and I’m not sure this deserves a patent, or that that will help prevent knockoffs anyway. It’s hardly a revolutionary idea. Someone copying will just make it a little bigger with a rim or color code it or something…
I’m much more interested in this magical dycem stuff! It sounds far more versatile.

I think it's kind of "tacky" that she calls people out for copying her ideas but copies other people's ideas. So Tacky Tile is a good name.

Here’s the video for the tacky tiles. Very interesting that they’ve turned off the comments.
$14.99 for 2 large regular or distress ink tiles. $11.99 for 4 mini cube tiles.
