I think I'm getting arthritis in my thumb. the middle joint is really swollen and sore (has been for months now) and now the lower joint is starting to flair. Is there a decent bangage that puts pressure on the middle knuckle? Most I've seen seem to only target the lower part closer to the wrist.

The one linked above is the one I use for my thumb. I have OA in my hands with trigger thumb. The one above really helps me keep my thumb stabilized.

I've seen that one, but unfortunately it doesn't put pressure on the knuckle. |

I like this one! I have a ganglion cyst in my thumb joint that seems to flare up at times and calm down at others. Years ago, a doctor made a molded piece for me to slide over my thumb to immobilize it. I had to wear it for weeks and eventually the cyst shrank down. He told me that repeated movement will cause it to remain or increase in size. I have used the piece he made many times over the years, but it is getting cracked now. I like the brace linked because you can wash it and you get the extra wrist support too. I will be ordering this today. Thank you! |
