Most fonts have the title that is representative of the font, or at least that is how it seems to me.
Fonts are on sale right now at Silhouette.com. There is a new one called “The Future Unwritten” that looked really nice. Fortunately, I always check the glyphs. Some of the characters shown in the title were there, but many were NOT.
It really bothers me that anyone would do this. It seems misleading and deceptive, because other cutter designs show what you are buying. It should be the same way with fonts.
I wrote to Silhouette and got an answer that the title is not necessarily going to show the actual glyphs and/or characters included in the font.
Am I the only one who is bothered by this?

No, you're not the only one. That would really bug me too.

I would expect that any letters/characters/glyphs shown in the sample would be included in the font. What’s the point of the title bing in that font if it’s not representative of the font?
I side with you!

I appreciate knowing that I’m not the only one that thinks this way.

That's a really misleading practice, as I'm sure not everyone checks all the characters before purchasing. And I'd also be mad if I bought a font based on the title only to discover the characters I really loved weren't even part of the product.

And I'd also be mad if I bought a font based on the title only to discover the characters I really loved weren't even part of the product. Yes, I would have been really upset. And sometimes I have bought a font, then wondered afterward why. Now I think it’s because I assumed the title was representative of the characters inside, but I hadn’t checked the glyphs to be sure.

I looked at that font, that is annoying. I usually forget to check the glyphs or whatever they are called so I would never know
