Surely there's a way for household members to have their own Amazon carts. Can someone tell me how to do this? My daughter has a bazillion items in our cart and when I want to order something I've been doing the Buy It Now option, which is okay except when I want to order multiple items. I hate having separate shipments for several small things.

I haven't figured it out yet. My DD and ODS share my account. One of us will usually always have something in the cart. We try to keep it to one or two items. Then if the others want to order, we move the items in cart to save for later. Sometimes I have found something in passing and put it into the cart and immediately save for later. Then when I have several, I'll just move to cart. Or you can put into a wish list.
Probably doesn't help as it is not separate carts but it works for us.

That's what I was doing until she added so many things to the cart. I guess I'm going to have to tell her to move them or lose them!

I don’t know how I do it, but my cart has a saved item list. It is not a wish list. There are 5 items and whenever I go to my cart it shows these items and there is a button to add it to my cart. Maybe these are items I once had in my cart but took them out. See if the items in your cart has a “save” options. It doesn’t put them in a separate cart, but they are listed on your cart page. ETA - what naby64 said! 😁

My husband and I each have our own login. Under my prime membership you use manage your household and add members of your family to share the account. Under our separate logins we each have our own lists and credit card info that the other can’t see. Helps with gifts to each other.

I’m still on my XDH’s Prime account (six years after separating 😊), and we can’t see each other’s purchases.

There are 4 of us on the account—myself, DH, and the two kids. We can’t see what each other are buying. The credit cards are all stored under my account, although I can’t see any details.

I add our teen to Amazon household, and she is able to make her own purchases without my permission. I do have it set up to receive texts whenever she does make a purchase though.

Everyone in the family has their own lists. We put the thinga we are wanting on our individual list.
Things aren't put into the cart until someone is actually ready to buy.

I see you’ve found your permanent solution, but will add this in case anyone needs it. You can also deselect all items by clicking the box at the top of the cart and then reselect whatever items you’d like to purchase at the time.
