I didn't realize that flower Bomb by Victor & Rolf was so popular.
Someone gave me a sample the other day. That was the first time I had ever smelled it.

I alternate between Love and Poppy, both by Coach. I am almost out of both, and it looks like they have stopped making Love.

I have to be very careful with perfumes as most, if not 99% are much too strong and will cause migraines. My favorite and the one I've been wearing for years is 4711. It's the same one my Oma (my German grandmother) wore, and in fact it is so old it was first made in 1799 in Cologne, Germany. Last time I was in Germany I bought home about 5 bottles of it, not realizing that you can buy it here these days. It's actually considered a unisex scent and is made of sandlewood oils and citrus scents. I love it because it is "light" and doesn't give me a migraine. It doesn't smell fake or like chemicals. It's the same way with most scents these days for me. I can use aromatherapy oils just fine (natural scents) and not get a touch of a migraine, but anything that is manufactured for fake like candles, Glade or even some highly scented laundry detergent can trigger a migraine. Debbie in Md. Hijack: Nice memory for me, thank you! I can smell my "Ma" right now- 4711 all the way. I have an ancient bottle of hers in my undies drawer. It has no scent residue left but I will never toss it. You can still buy 4711 here in the USA-they started selling it a few years ago. I saw it at Nordstom last year, but I'm sure if you Google you can find lots of other places that sell it. The formula hasn't been changed in 200 years so I'm sure it'll smell exactly the same way it did on your "Ma". Just an idea for you -maybe a bottle for yourself for Christmas? Debbie in MD.

I love Joop and have worn it for years. I once bought Wish (I think it was called) because I loved it on my best friend. According to my DH it smells like cat urine on me . So I will stick to Joop!

My favourite for years has been light and cheap- Sarah Jessica Parker 'lovely'. I have just discovered Tom Ford 'Black Orchid' though, and each of the three times I have worn it, I have had a man tap me on the shoulder and ask me what I'm wearing! It's expensive but one application lasts all day and I love the way it changes through the day. It's probably my first 'grown up' sexy fragrance ( at age 54!)

Right now my favorite is Downtown by Calvin Klein. I've had a couple strangers say in lines (at Starbucks & Target) tell me I smell good A lot of strong perfumes/colognes trigger migraines, so I have to be careful picking them. I LOVE the roller ball tube style ones. Smaller amount, and so much easier to control how much you put on. I also like Falling in Love by Philosophy and Body Shoppe's Satsuma. My biggest issue is finding a body wash I like that is unscented. All the ones I have are scented, and a few of them I'm afraid would really clash so I can't wear perfume when I use those.

Kate Walsh's Millionaire Boyfriend. At least once a day someone asks me what I'm wearing. Love it!

I have worn floral scents my entire life: Chloe --> Jessica McClintock --> Happy
Then I received as a gift Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. It smells so fresh and pretty. I absolutely love it!

I used to wear CKOne, but the citrus bothers my allergies and makes me swell up and get a rash.
DH wears it, and it smells so much better on him. It doesn't bother my allergies, either.
I have to be careful because of my allergies. Some perfumes give me a headache, but most give me a rash or make me swell.
I used to love Ralph Lauren Romance, but it doesn't smell the same on me since I went through menopause.
I've been loving the smell of CHANEL Mademoiselle, but I just got a sample at Nordstrom, and it doesn't smell good on me.
I also really liked the smell of Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline, so I'm going to get a sample at Nordstrom. (Last time I went, they didn't have any ready made samples of CHANEL Mademoiselle, but they had empty spray sample bottles and made me a sample)
I also recently smelled a Jo Malone scent in a magazine and loved it. So I'm going to check them out next time I'm at Nordstrom.

What a coincident that this topic comes up. Strong heavy perfumes bother me also. We were out eating dinner and they sat an older woman with a really strong scent on. We were just about finished eating and couldn't wait to leave and breathe some fresh air. There is also someone who attends our church wino wears a very strong scent. I have to sit on the other side of the church and I still smell her.

I've been wearing Armani Code for awhile and was running low. I got Burberry instead this time. I'm putting Marc Jacobs Daisy on my wish list for Christmas. I have a few other random minis around I cycle in too.

Have a few favorites that I go between, depending on mood:
Guerlain - Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca Chanel - Cristalle Clinique - Happy and Happy Heart D & G - Light Blue Clean - Rain and Shower Fresh
I also like DKNY's Be Delicious, but I ran out of the sample size I had.
ETA: "A woman's perfume should never enter a room before she does." Katherine Hepburn (I think) This is what I think of every time I go somewhere and someone is wearing too much or just a too-strong scent.

I like heavier scents. Opium, Chanel Madamoiselle, Estée Lauder Youth Dew. I tried Spice Bomb but my DH doesn't like it. I never buy before trying a sample at the counter and having DH smell me. what I like in the bottle is rarely what smells good on me.

Sephora has a fabulous gift set right now. You get 14 popular perfumes for $60. Plus a coupon for a full size bottle of whichever one you'd like. Some included are - Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Prada, Tom Ford. I just bought that sampler set! I wanted a full-size of Lancome's La Vie Est Belle, and the sampler set was only $2 more. I've only had it for a couple days, so I haven't had much chance to experiment with the other scents yet. I just happened to sample La Vie Est Belle when I was in the store the other day, and every other place I went where I had to be fairly close to someone, people were telling me how good I smelled. I liked the scent and it didn't give me a headache, so I had to get the full-size.

I also love Samsara by Guerlain. It was my favourite winter fragrance. (I had summer and winter perfumes when I used to travel overseas).

Light Blue by D&G. I was thinking about possibly finding a new scent because my bottle of Light Blue is almost gone but then DH bought me a gift set for my birthday with a large bottle of cologne, body lotion, and a travel spray -- so, looks like it will be Light Blue for a while longer. OK by me, I love it.

Marc Jacobs Daisy. And Daisy Dreams.
I also like Dolce & Gabbana pour Femme in colder weather. The vanilla and sandalwood notes seem to come out strongly on me and it seems too rich for hot weather.

LOVE LOVE the Marc Jacobs Daisy little roller bottle I just got a sephora.
