When I want iced tea on hand, I make a pot of tea the usual way with boiling water and let it cool to room temperature before putting it in the fridge.
How do you make it?
If you use a cold brew method, how long does it take?

When hot enough, and I have the time I use room temp water, add the bags and let it sit in the sun.

Ice in a tall cup, tea leaves in a reusable K cup, push start and then stir.

I make tea outside in a covered pitcher in the sun. Leave it out for an hour or two or until I remember it is outside and bring it back in.

I follow the directions on the Luzianne box. 😏
Steep in boiling water, remove teabags, add cold water.

I also make sun tea. Water & tea bags in a large pitcher/dispenser and leave it out in the sun until I remember to bring it in.

I voted "other"
I boil the water and pour it over the tea, either loose tea or bags.
I let it steep for at least 10 minutes.
If I am making sweet tea, I add the sugar while the water is hot. After the sugar is dissolved, then I add more water.

Ice in a tall cup, tea leaves in a reusable K cup, push start and then stir. Very similar, I put tea bags in my reusable K cup, run it through the Machine and pour over ice. I don’t even drink coffee but I love my Keurig.

If I make it... add 3 family size tea bags to a quart pot of water. Bring water to boil, turn off, add sugar to pitcher, add tea water, stir, pour pitcher into gallon jug then finish filling with water. Preferred method... honey, we need tea... then he does the above except he makes 2 gal at a time... we drink a lot of tea.

I take the tags off 4 tea bags and put them in my Instant Pot. I add 6-7 cups water and two tablespoons sugar. Manual button and set it for 4 minutes. Let it naturally release for at least 15 minutes. Let cool before refrigerating.

2 qt water, tea bags, and sugar (we use 1/4 cup for a gallon of tea for almost unsweet, 1 cup for sweet) in a saucepan, bring to boil, Pour into gallon pitcher, fill the rest of the way with ice and water.
I don't actually drink it but DH and the girls do. I prefer hot tea

Drive to McDonalds. Pay $1. Drive home. LOL. I don’t drink iced tea but DH does. He either uses your method or he pops the top on a can of Arnold Palmer’s 1/2 and 1/2.

We go through about two pitchers a day here. We have a teamaker. Brew tea, put it over a glass of ice, add more ice because it will melt, and drink. It doesn't last long enough to cool down.

If I’m feeling all Suzy Homemaker like I’ll do it the proper way, tea bags steeped in boiling water, let cool & add ice and a slice of lemon. Mostly I just unscrew the lid from a gallon of Arizona tea and pour.

I drink 2 quarts of unsweetened iced tea every day. I boil half tap water, half bottled water. Once it’s boiling, I move the pan to another burners and add 2 family size black tea bags. I find boiling the tea bags makes mine bitter. I leave tea bags in the pan until warm and put in fridge.
I agree, McDonalds iced tea is great. What’s not great - drinking sweetened tea unexpectedly.

Oh my that takes me back to when my mom use to make it that way out on our front deck. Sure miss her. Thanks for bringing back sweet (tea🥰) memories. We are/were very addicted to ice tea so it rarely gets made in my house anymore but if I’m really craving iced tea I get a bottle of PureLeaf real brewed iced tea, usually raspberry flavor but love the peach, lemon, unsweetened, green… I love iced tea. Lol. Due to medical issues I’m suppose to cut out all caffeine. Sigh. I love tea and decaf is fine but somehow not the same 🤪

It depends. Lately I’ve been using my ice tea maker but if only making one cup I use the keurig to heat water and then just seep until it’s ready.

For a whole gallon pitcher, I will pour in a kettle of boiling water, steep the bags and then add cold water.
Lately I like to just stick a bag or two in a mason jar with water and brew that in the fridge overnight.

If you use a cold brew method, how long does it take? The lipton's cold brew tea takes about 5 minutes. Just steep the bag in cold water for 5 minutes and it is ready. More often I just use regular tea, put a couple of bags in my quart jar and leave in the fridge over night. That makes a really strong tea so when I am ready to drink a glass I cut it with some water to get it to the color I prefer.

I boil water, brew it strong and let it cool. I have a large drink dispenser with a section to add fruit or other things to flavor your drink. I usually muddle a bit of mint from the garden and put that in, too. I love a subtle mint flavor in my tea.

I fill a tall cup with ice, put a tea bag on top, and run water through the Keurig onto it so it's always a fresh cup.
If I'm camping I make sun tea.

If I want lemon myrtle tea, I put the leaves in my big infuser jug with boiling water and let it steep for a little bit. It's nice hot and cold, but I prefer it hot. I mainly use these Twinings Infusion tea bags that you put in cold water. I have jars of every flavour (nine different flavours) in my pantry, so I can change it up and have a different flavour every day. They are soooo good!

Years ago, when I lived near a tea plantation, I used to buy powdered iced tea in sachets. They came in lemon-lime, peach, and mango flavours. Sadly they've been discontinued.
Now I use Lipton sachets, Twinings Infusions, or make my own.
