And the fraud lawsuits WILL start tomorrow.
It’s so disheartening. We really are doomed if one side of the divide absolutely cannot and will not accept ever losing power. Exclusive power.

A high school friend has already posted about fraud. Lol I am hesitant to look at my IG stories, especially from those who I know were for the recall.

Wait, WOW! According to Lawrence O’Donnell, Larry Elder just told his followers to be “gracious in defeat.”
I hope that attitude holds.

I wasn’t expecting this and he did tell his supporters to be gracious in defeat.

What CA did right.... "The Democratic establishment played its cards exactly right in California — much to my surprise. I watched the developments in Golden State politics this year with a mix of worry and annoyance. A coalition led by the state’s conservatives collected enough signatures to force a recall election against Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom. And the California Democratic establishment, instead of coalescing around an alternative candidate in case voters decided to oust the incumbent, doubled down on Newsom. They convinced all of the state’s prominent Democratic officials to stay out of the race. And they urged rank-and-file Democrats to vote “no” on recalling Newsom and then leave blank the part of their ballot where they could choose among the 46 people running to replace the governor. I was annoyed that California’s Democratic establishment was, in my view, either missing or ignoring political realities by not running an alternative to Newsom, who is a favorite of party insiders but not the most inspiring politician. And I worried about the worst-case scenario: Newsom is recalled; 88-year-old U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein can no longer serve due to health reasons; and a Republican governor replaces Feinstein with someone who would put the GOP in control of the U.S. Senate, hamstringing President Biden. I was wrong and the Democratic establishment was right. Newsom overwhelmingly (64.2 percent to 35.8 percent with 66 percent of votes counted) defeated the recall effort. While that victory was in large part because California is a very Democratic-leaning state, the strategy of California Democratic leaders helped ensure the recall was unsuccessful." www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/09/15/newsoms-winning-recall-strategy-offers-playbook-democrats-2022/

I believe the reason Elder is being gracious is the fact that it wasn't even close. Had the vote been closer he would be claiming fraud all over the place! To all of California- Thank you for voting!!!!

Larry Elder and every person who signed the petition for the recall should have to pay back the money we paid for this colossal waste of time.

To all of California- Thank you for voting!!!! Definitely an unfortunate lesson from the past few years is that it is not enough for Democrats to win elections, they have to win them by huge margins for them to be accepted as having won the election (and it's not like the Biden/Trump margins were razor thin or anything).

they can cry fraud all they want but it's hard to defraud at margins that high.

My brother posted a tirade on FB this morning. He said some pretty nasty things about "everyone who voted NO". I'm sick to my stomach. How can I sit at a family dinner with someone who says I'm an "Fing Idiot" and should be prosecuted for conspiracy and voter fraud?
Heavy sigh - - -

But it’s only been the last few years that virtually any Democratic win is called fraudulent and stolen. How do we maintain a democracy when a third of the country refuses to accept anything but their own candidates’ wins?

To all of California- Thank you for voting!!!! I think it is because he is planning on running in the next election, which is right around the corner. He's going to try to turn this into a political career and knows he could lose important voters who aren't happy with California atm if he acts like a fool. There aren't enough far right republican voters here to carry him, alone.

Because my curiosity got the best of me, I went to Steve Lodge's instagram page to read comments on his I'm a loser post. Real Housewives fans know Steve as RHOC Vicki Gunvalsons "fiancé". Almost every comment was about a "rigged election". I shouldn't be shocked but JFC there are way too many stupid people in this country.
Maybe trump will go all David Koresh and he and his cult followers will no longer be a problem.

I have seen several posts about fraud and being able to see a yes vote either through the holes in the envelope or by shining a light through it. Our son didn’t vote so I tried to replicate both of these snd nope. The column with the yes/no didn’t line up with the holes. You would have to cut off part of the ballot and slide it over but then it couldn’t be read by the machine. Shining the light through, well the envelope is lined with the grey hash marks and the ballot is folded over and multiple layers so you can’t see through it especially not so clear like they showed online so that was obviously photoshopped. So both of these claims that have people claiming they could see who you voted for snd dump the yes votes is fake. No surprise there.
I’m so sick of fraud claims. I am sure there were some but not enough to make a difference. Keep hearing that someone found 300 ballots that were stolen but again 300. Mailboxes often get vandalized it’s been going on for years but now when it happens see it’s for voter fraud. Ugg. It’s people trying to steal your identity or something of value they get more than they ever could for a fake vote but of course let’s change the reality. It’s been happening for years snd will continue. We have community mailboxes here.

He stole mail bins that happened to have ballots in them. They weren’t his intended target.

I didn’t actually see the article but my husband brought it up. Again wrong but not the cause nor enough to make a difference. I don’t think anyone could make the argument for substantial enough fraud to change this outcome. Thank goodness.
