WLS person here.
1. If you cannot get any weight off before your trip, and you are being completely honest about your food intake, go get checked when you get back. My unexplained weight gain ended up being a major medical illness.
2. As someone has said, you could try omitting starchy carbs and alcohol or even some intermittent fasting. I can easily take off 4-5 pounds (mostly water of course) in a 2-4 day fast, which I look at as powerful motivator to eat healthy when not fasting BUT
3. You could also try self-acceptance and tolerance and focusing on health. As you know WLS people have heads full of fucked-up thinking, which I believe needs to be replaced with a little grace and acceptance. Being in a state of self-loathing has never worked to motivate me to do anything.

I hope this doesn’t sound snarky, but honestly, just wear another dress. 10 pounds in two weeks is not realistic, healthy, or sustainable. Don’t let fitting into a dress stress you out and just enjoy your weekend away! I agree -- no point in making yourself crazy these 2 weeks before the trip and not being able to enjoy the planning and anticipation of the trip because you are focused on this particular dress. Congrats on your weight loss and maintenance thus far. Find another dress that won't stress you out and save this one for another time. Have a great trip!

Even if you lost the weight, once you get on vacation and loosen up a bit with eating I know I would bloat up a bit. If I was barely squeezing into that dress at home I wouldn't fit into it on holidays. I'm better now that I don't eat gluten and don't get a wheat belly/pregnant belly. I still would find another outfit and not stress about trying to lost that much weight in such a short time while I was trying to get things ready to go for being on vacation.

I agree with cleaning up your diet, no carbs, lots of water and intermittent fast. Try OMAD, one meal a day. Get up, drink your tea/coffee black, power through lunch and have an early dinner, like 4ish or push it to five. You can do it, hunger comes in waves, just remember that. Keep busy and you'll forget you are hungry. Then eat a good healthy dinner full of veggies and good protein. Mondays I OMAD to make up for any weekend fun I had Its 1:00 pm right now and I was really hungry about 20 minutes ago but I'm fine again. I've got some BLSL chicken breast thawing and it'll be ready to cook so that I'm fully prepared to eat when I break my fast. Just gotta plan ahead. Good luck, and another here who is totally validating your feelings too.

River are you having any success with dropping your weight? Hey! Thanks for checking back. I have lost 4 pounds of it so I'm relieved the scales finally started moving. Basically I cut out all carbs and eat basically all protein every 2 hours. I tried doing the fasting type thing and only eating once or twice in a 24 hour period but nothing was happening weight wise and I was miserable and cranky. So I went back to my trusty every 2 hours have a little something. No actual meals though. If my trend continues, I should be down enough to fit in my dress again. Just the 4 pounds has it almost zipped up. Thanks every for your help and advice! ETA...I did get another dress to wear just in case, but I'm seriously in love with the original one. I tried to find it in the next size up but no luck. Honestly though, the 4 pounds and a shaper seems like the ticket. Because of loose extra skin, I pretty much have to do a shaper anyway.

Have you tried your pre-op or post-op diet?
