I went and got Botox today for the first time and I scheduled laser resurfacing. So that put me in a rather good mood. I stopped for cookies and went home.
Then DH decided to take the afternoon off and now I'm sitting in downtown Alpharetta surrounded by day-drinking Boomers wearing Dead t-shirts vaping and uptight Boomers wearing sweaters on their shoulders and driving vintage cars, mixed with GenXers in yoga pants walking doodles of various types. The Boomers next to me are falling over and it's only 3pm lol.
I'm at a brew pub sitting outside people watching while DH peruses the record shop. The bartender is an adorable young man who doesn't look old enough to work here! He's the only young person in ten block radius, I'm pretty sure.
What a beautiful day, a great day to be alive for sure. I lift an Oktoberfest brew to all of you!

Back atcha!  I work at home and my current office window faces the front. One of my new neighbors has 18 month old twin daughters, and they ended up in front of my house with some other little kids. The moms were blowing bubbles and the kids were laughing, and it was so fun to watch. My baby is 21 now so no little kids in my life now, and it's just fun to see them have a good time. I'm not particular about my lawn, it should be loved. |

The moms were blowing bubbles and the kids were laughing, and it was so fun to watch. My baby is 21 now so no little kids in my life now, and it's just fun to see them have a good time. I'm not particular about my lawn, it should be loved. Oh I love to see kids having fun! I like to give my money to places that hire a lot of teens who like their jobs. It's just so nice to see kids having fun with their friends 😀 My kids are now 23 and 27 so I get the missing little kids too! |

I saw my grandchild-to -be when I went with my DD for her 20week scan today. Her Dh is working away and she wanted some company so saw that beautiful little human who we will meet in February 😊

My dd sends snapchats of her greeting my 10mo dgd in the mornings and after her naps every day. My dgd wakes up every morning with a huge smile on her face and it just makes me smile! I never want the videos to end.

We went to the orchard for our 8th year in a row. Man, it changes every year, but the kids still get excited over little things like picking their own apples and finding the best one. Also, the donuts, but everyone loves those. ^.^

My daughter sent a picture of my 15 month old grandson in his first pair of bright yellow rubber boots, laughing and trying to walk across the grass. We are going to see him in a couple of weeks (we live in WA State, they live in NY) and I just can't wait to take him to the pumpkin patch!

Dante met a little girl who wanted to pet him and he was a total Angel to her. He doesn’t give kisses but she pet him and she was mad we needed to take a different direction on the path home. He really was a lovely dog to her. Now we did not see any other dogs so we had a spectacular walk!

I'm all about grandbabies these days. I have my one perfect little 17-month-old grandson and can't wait to add more to the mix! I volunteered at the hospice thrift store this morning and then came home and made a lasagna to put in the fridge for dinner tonight. Then when my husband and our youngest got home, we all hit the outside to cut the grass, weed eat, trim shrubs, and use the leaf blower. The yard looks so amazing when it's all freshly done. Once we eat tonight's lasagna, we're all headed outside for a firepit evening in the back year so we can enjoy the fruits of our labor. |

I was sitting in the car at the subway waiting for my sister to arrive and I saw a little girl, maybe 4 or 5, walking with a woman who I assumed was her mother... but that's not important really. It's the girl who made me smile. She was dressed in a party dress, the kind with the poofy skirt part. It was white with large flowers on it, like hibiscus flowers or something like that. The flowers were a deep rose pink, and her mask was the exact color of the flowers. Then her hair had braids all over her head and each braid had those hair things that have the two balls at the end that you wind around each other...not sure what their actual name is. Anyway, those hair things were also the exact color of the flowers and the mask. And she was sort of skipping alongside her adult. Just too cute.  |

I got to cuddle w/the most adorable bull dog puppy. He was 4 months old and just loved me. He made me feel like I was queen of the world, plus his fur was soft and warm. My cats would not appreciate a bull dog friend, but I sure did.

I had today off so I put together dinner and dessert for one of my coworkers who had surgery yesterday. Seeing her finally out of the pain she’s been in was a total joy!!

See? A young cat. It was young, maybe 3 months old. Beautiful black coat. Svelte. Looked healthy, so I am hoping it had a home. It was playing outside my coworkers window.
The best part of the day was the walk with my son to pick up lunch.

What did I see? I saw an eye chart that I could read down to the last line after having cataract surgery yesterday. I'm so excited about this result and look forward to my second surgery towards the end of October.

Massive rain drops hitting the patio this afternoon made me smile. It was so loud, I thought for sure it was hail so went to take a look and saw the 3" diameter wet spots. By the time I grabbed my phone to get a photo the whole patio was wet. A couple hours later I was on my way home from a grocery stop, thinking DH hadn't called yet to say he was on the way home, when I realized his truck was in front of me. That really made me smile. We ended up having a goofball conversation for the remaining 2 miles. |
