I wonder how all of his evangelical followers feel about his language?

It’s very clear he is threatened by diversity.

He has cast his lot with the hard-right conservatives. He knows that this is bullshit. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ran for office some day.

It is sad. I had such fun with this year's teacher book requests. The titles were so diverse and inviting. They offered many different insights to be shared with a classroom of kids to promote Much better understanding. Some of those same books were mentioned on another program as being unacceptable.

So how many generation do you have to have here to be considered a "legacy" American? Well if you read the yahoo piece, if you are white you are not legacy. It says those who came from Asia and Africa...

This is awful. Tucker Carlson has gone way around the bend. ugh I wonder how all of his evangelical followers feel about his language? They've made it pretty clear they couldn’t care less when it’s someone on their “side.”

So how many generation do you have to have here to be considered a "legacy" American? Good question. There are a lot of people of Mexican origin in Texas whose families have been here a lot longer than mine. This is some straight up DAR crap - trying to establish an American aristocracy based on bloodlines. We don’t do that here. We left Europe to stop doing that.

bc2ca. The yahoo piece dating the foot prints in white sands were from 21,000+ years ago ... Related to possible arrival of the Asians and Africans ... "The first footprints were found in a dry lake bed in White Sands National Park in 2009. Scientists at the U.S. Geological Survey recently analyzed seeds stuck in the footprints to determine their approximate age, ranging from around 22,800 and 21,130 years ago. The findings may shed light on a mystery that has long intrigued scientists: When did people first arrive in the Americas, after dispersing from Africa and Asia?"

Yes, but Tucker Carlson doesn’t care about Native Americans. He cares about European Americans. It doesn’t matter whether indigenous people arrived here 10,000 years ago or 20,000 years ago … they don’t count as “legacy Americans” to Tucker and the rest of the white supremacists. Good question. My MIL’s family was in New Mexico since it was part of Mexico. Somehow I doubt that will help my Cambodian/Jewish/Mexican-American grandson at all, if the Tucker Carlsons and Steve Bannons of the world get their way.

My grandmothe'rs family was in New Mexico when it was still part of Spain and before the whole little experiment called USA actually came into being. People are so very ignorant about the history of the southwest - but I suppose that's a post for another day.

Can't recommend this enough. It's on Amazon Prime. www.amazon.com/Angry-White-American-Jenny-Ash/dp/B07D6HHZ9PAngry, White and American They are scared to death that they will be treated, in the minority, as they treated others who were in the minority. They don't realize that not everyone is as cruel, depraved and greedy as they are.

I wonder how all of his evangelical followers feel about his language? They love it. Their Jesus is white, Republican, and wealthy. Their Jesus blesses people he likes with lots and lots of cash. That's how you get into Heaven, and why their mega church preachers live in mansions and fly private jets. Heck one of their preachers had his congregation pray and send money for him to get a new Gulfstream just because he wanted it. And his congregants forked it over without question because that's how Republican Jesus rolls and if you question anything, you're a bad christian and will go straight to hell. Republican Jesus hates brown people. Republican Jesus founded America and rode dinosaurs for fun. Republican Jesus hates science and teh gheys. Oh, and he especially hates trans people, more than he hates public education, unions and universal healthcare. And you know Republican Jesus hates allowing people affordable healthcare by all those times in their bible when he killed all those uppity lepers. It's ok, though. Their Jesus knows if you're sick, you're a big loser because clearly God hasn't blessed you. Republican Jesus likes people who don't get sick. Every Sunday they receive their propaganda right from the pulpit - Tucker isn't even telling them anything new, just reinforcing what they already believe. Their hate is sanctified.

(it must be true, otherwise he wouldn't look like that in all the paintings, right??) Just like God is an older Caucasian man with a white beard... blech.

In Canadian during one of our Federal elections, the Conservative Party used the term "old stock Canadians". I'm still trying to figure out what the hell that even means.

Tucker Carlson grew up in La Jolla/San Diego. He should be very aware of the history of the Mexican-Americans. I am sure they taught they even in his private schools. That is why I am so disgusted with him. He is from this area, yet chooses to hurl insults at the people who helped grow this state.

In Canadian during one of our Federal elections, the Conservative Party used the term "old stock Canadians". I'm still trying to figure out what the hell that even means. what the heck?!? I dunno if I feel better or worse that this attitude isn't exclusively a Trumpster-type American thing... Me either. It was a weird election campaign that year. That Trumpster stuff isn't exclusive to the USA. The Conservative Party this past election tried to do a complete turn around to make them seem like Liberal Lite. I didn't fucking buy it when they had so many of their party voted no to the Conversion Therapy bill to outlaw conversion therapy. 62 of them. The bill passed 263-63. The 63rd one is independent. We have several parties and all the rest unanimously supported the bill. My province of Ontario did outlaw Conversion Therapy but some provinces have not. The Conservative Party is having a battle between their more modern members and ones stuck in the past concerning human rights. The leader also said he is pro choice BUT doctors should have the right to not perform anything they don't believe in. Dude, abortion is LEGAL in Canada and these are doctors! some places don't have many doctors. One of our smaller population provinces has limited abortions to certain places so some now have to travel a long way for the services.
