I am sure I’ve been reading too much social medial content lately, but if I hear or see the word “elevate” one more time . . . 🤯
Also, “nourish”.

Self Care "at the end of the day" I know it's a phrase, but I hate it.

My list changes all the time and sometimes words I previously disliked no longer bother me. I must be moody.
But I agree above - curate/curated are currently on my irrationally annoying list.

"Live your truth."
Authentic
Literally when you mean figuratively. "My head literally exploded." That's most unfortunate.

Because I got this one from two different staff members of one school (it must be in their staff training or something) in response to an email:
Thank you for your thoughts

oooh, I thought of another one.... "I invite you to..." -- Used often by pastors, as in "I invite you to open your hymnals to hymn #85". A former pastor, who I love dearly, "invited" us to EVERYTHING. How about just "please open your hymnals to #85"...? Or instead of "I invite you to write your thoughts about xyz on the card at the end of your pew" say "At the end of your pew are some cards...please write down some thoughts about xyz..." I always feel like a crotchety old woman when I grumble (in my thoughts only, I'd never say it out loud) about these "invitations". But then again, maybe I *am* a crotchety old woman. haha

"Rent free" as in "x is living rent-free in your head".
Canceled/cancel culture
Woke
Edit: A Peloton commercial just came on and they used "game-changing" in the copy. This phrase has been on my irrational hate list for a LONG time. It needs to go away.

(I promise I won't call it an invitation to yell at the clouds)

Mine is more of a phrase. This season of your life. WTF is wrong with just saying "this time of your life" or "these years" instead of season. Gah aggravates me more than it probably should.

"Curate" for sure. If you're not in charge of a museum, art gallery, library, etc., then you're not curating anything in my mind. You can say it all you want, but in my head, I'm going to insert a different word every time I hear you try to elevate your closet to the same level as the Louvre.
