So what are you all using? I finally got a new laptop and would like another free photo organizing program. Hopefully one that has some simple editing? Thanks!

Good luck trying to find a new one! I had to end up paying for the good ones. I used to use filmora and really liked it. I switched movavi and enjoy it as well. I pay the yearly fee which is close to $100 if I remember but I make several movies each year.

I'm holding on to an ancient desk top because I don't want to lose Picasa, so I'll be watching this thread for sure! I love how incredibly easy it is to use Picasa, especially for making all sorts of collages. I make a ton of collages.

Acdsee or whatever it's called because I could pay once and not have to pay again. I mostly wanted it to organize photos, I don't do a ton of editing. I actually hate the software and having to look up how to do even the most basic edits. I realllllllllly miss Picasa

Thanks for the replies - looks like we all miss picasa! Does anyone use Google photos? Isn't that what they're trying to push us to?

I wish they'd offer it for sale. I'd be willing to pay to have it.

For collages you Project Life app. It’s easy to use and lots to choose from. They even have fun decorative elements to add to your collage. You can pay for more but I do the free version.
Also, I use Google photos for uploading all my photos and love it. I don’t use it for anything else really. You can set it up, so every time you take a pic of your kid it gets uploaded. My sister uses it and it’s convenient for her not to have to upload photos all the time. They can into a certain album with her name and that album can be shared with family if you like.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do everything photo related on a desk top because I need the largest monitor possible due to vision issues, but I can see whether or not the app will work if I use an emulator like Blue Stacks to run it on my PC. Making collages saves me a lot of money in prints because I don't ever pay the extra fee that places charge for wallets or special sizes, I just put my "collaged" pics on a 4x6 print and pay the standard price. So if the Project Life app works for me, even using a pay version may still work out in my favor.

I still have Picasa on my computer, hasn't died yet and after I got a new computer, works great. But before I got the new computer, I was looking for another program to replace it and did win a program called Forever Historian. I'm learning to use it but happy I still have Picasa as a backup.

I’m using Google Photos and pay $19.95/year. I’m happy with it.

You can make a bunch of basic 4x6 collages for free. That being said I haven't used it on the desktop. But I know a lot of people use Photosheet so see if that is an option for you.

I also still use my picasa for collages almost daily. I just can't give it up. I could never scrap all my DGD's photos if I didn't put 2, 4 or even 15 on one 4x6 print.
Why doesn't someone replicate this even for a small fee?

Thanks all. I still have it on my old laptop so I'll just pray the laptop hangs on😊😊. Glad to hear that Google photos is fairly good too - I'll check into it.
