I'd like to put together a work from home package for my son and his partner for one night of Hanukkah. Son will start a new job in a couple of weels and will be work from home 100% (he's been at about 80% the last few months and was 100% during the first 18 months of the pandemic). His partner is 100% WFH. They share a 700SF-ish, one bedroom apartment. Two men, 31 and 37YO. Don't really want to do "cozy" clothing or socks. And they have all the Apple acountrements to make their days go as smoothly as possible. Not really interested in giving them food, as a whole they are very particular about their diet. Both have a gym membership. Any thoughts? At all? My brain is turned off today.... and thanks! ETA: they live across the country and I haven’t seen their new place/WFH set ups yet. Also, the booze ideas are great! However, I belong to a favorite winery’s club here in WA state and have the twice yearly allotments of wine shipped to them. Also I am taking a case of assorted wines I purchased on my wine trip to OR in September with me when I visit soon. Alaska Air flies wine for free from certain airports, hurray! Yes, we are winos 🥴 They do have a fully tricked out bar cart, but if you have specific suggestions of special booze to add to it, I’m all ears. Maybe a whiskey trip or something (I don't do whiskey and know nothing about it).

Nice bottle of wine or alcohol of their choice, board/card game. That's all I got for now.

We both WFH 100%. I’d say good tea, an electric kettle, pretty mugs, a small plant or succulent in nice modern pot, Alexa for listening to music, cozy socks and slippers. And yes alcohol is always good too . Oops saw you said no socks!

Kohl’s has a Chanukah-themed Big One Throw this year.
How about a game or two for when they entertain?
What about checking out local outings that you think that they may like and buying a Groupon voucher/tickets to do them - ice skating outside, ghost walking tour, scotch tasting, scenic railway, etc.

Are their workspaces fully outfitted? You could go to YouTube and search for Amazon finds/must haves for your home office. I've found some things I didn't know I needed for my home office from those kinds of videos. 😃

Do they use a white board? If so, maybe new colored markers for it? A cup warmer to keep their coffee warm? I just bought a foot rest for under my crafting desk—maybe something like that? A frame for their desk(s)? Personalized notepads? Some new pens, or a personalized pen? I’ve seen cool pens on Etsy made of wood or old bowling balls.

I don’t think that either of them has a dedicated work space, but cup warmers, personalized notepads, and pens would be useful and could be really fun, thank you!

I'd do something that would encourage them to get out of the house (if they want) like nice restaurant GC, tickets to a show, museum, or entertainment venue. If they live near a state or national park a pass for that park if they are outdoorsy.

Foot massager and warmer.
Chair massager pad.
Tingling foot lotion or icy hot(I sometimes put a little icy hot on the bottoms of my feet, it just feels good) and thick socks.
Therma care neck patches. Good for the days when sitting too long in a office chair, the warmth soothes the neck and shoulder.
One of those balls that are soft and you squeeze them to help hands, when using keyboard and mouse for long periods.

Costco had a “smart” mug that I was intrigued by - I’m not sure exactly what it does, but did mean to go back to it to look at as a gift option for my fiancé. I’m your son’s age, for what it’s worth! Happy hunting!

Do they use a streaming service for music or tv? I would get a gift card for a years subscription for a service they use.

what about one of those pedaling things for under the desk? Or a convertible sit-to-stand desktop?

Things to make their work day a little more comfy-cozy that I hadn't thought of I also like the get out and do things ideas and would go down that route except that I put a lot of thought into 3 of those gifts to him (before he and his partner met) about 6 years ago and some of them never got used. However, maybe a GC to a bar or two near their apartment for HH at the end of a workday 👍🏻

Happy hunting! I had to Google. 😁 It’s totally like something you’d buy at Brookstone back in the day, fun! A bit steep though at $99 a pop!
