If yes, how many things are on it?
If no, what stops you?

To answer my own questions:
I nearly never finish my to-do list.
I usually run out of time or motivation, or both.
Part of my list is "must-do." Feeding the cats, scooping their boxes, getting the kids' school lunches etc. Everyday, no matter what, this part of the list is completed.
Then the rest is should-do. This is the part that usually has items left over undone.
Anxiety is another reason why I may not finish my list. Sometimes the thought of dealing with holding on the phone for 30+ minutes, and dealing with the run around while trying to correct an error a company made is just too much.

Not usually. But like my lesson plan days, I circle the things I didn’t get to and move them to the next day.
I don’t list routine items; just things like making or cancelling appointments, shopping, yard work, etc.

Do I finish my to-do list everyday? Heck no! Sometimes it's procrastination, sometimes it's just too long.

No, but I have a running list, not a daily list. It's never completed.

I have different categories of to do lists: Must do today (2-3 items) ASAP (3-4 items) Due whenever I get a chance. (A mile long)
None of these get done if I’m having A bad ra day,

No. But I’ll add an item to the list so that I can check it off!

Depends on the day. My day can easily change due to medical needs of the kids.
Typically I will have 10 things I want to get done. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I prioritize as well sometimes. Those tend to be for medical calls/insurance issues.
And what doesn't get done rolls over to the next day.

This is the part that usually has items left over undone. Well yes, what has to be done gets done, other stuff is often divided in my head into 'should do' but not critical and 'can do' but no rush.

I always have the best intentions when I write the list. The list does help though. If my work day is crap and traffic is long then less likely my list will even get started. But I'm really trying very hard to leave work in the car. As in the bad day vibes stay in the car. Let it go during the commute.
If I don't sit when I get home then there is a chance I will do stuff. My goal is like a 15 mins challenge I try to write little tasks. I get a sense of accomplishment completing them then I want to continue.
Yesterday I took the day off and I tackled three big seasonal tasks. I couldn't believe how quickly they went so it kept me motivated. My weekly goal is not to have to clean all weekend. I can do things I want to .
This weekend I want to work on my scraproom.
Oh I decided to not use a planner I'm using a note book. Front has the to do lists back of book is bigger task lists. On the cover it's says "let's do this ". I actually say that a lot. It helps.
I really wanted to get a cleaning lady. But I'm really not comfortable having someone in my house when I'm not there. DH feels same.

Nope. Well, at least not always. Some days I do. What stops me? Often just that I made an unrealistic to-do list. Sometimes an unexpected change in my day due to someone in my household, or a family member nearby making a change to their day that then affects mine. Sometimes because I had a terrible night's sleep and so I try to squeeze in a nap during the day. Sometimes because I just wake up with an idea to do something different that day and I go with that new idea instead of my list. Sometimes I just decide to do only the essential items and push off the others--procrastination at its best. And sometimes I fall down a rabbit hole on the internet, LOL!

I almost never make a written to do list for myself but I will make one for DH if there are some unusual things I need done. For him though it's more of a "sometime this week" list rather than a "do today" list. And I don't put routine jobs on there, I trust him to remember to feed the cats, etc.

I just having a running list that carries over. I don’t put the daily stuff on it- just out of the norm things I might forget if they weren’t in a list. Abs the answer is no, I don’t complete it daily.
I do use my outlook calendar at work as sort of a daily to do list abs I often complete that- if not I’ll move the task to the next day.

If I make a list, it gets done. I rarely make to-do lists, so I don't have the pressure. I am retired, don't have kids at home, and don't grocery shop, so lists aren't that important anymore. If I don't have a lot of things to do, I am pretty relaxed and when I have a bunch to get done, I get them done.

No, not always. Sometimes because of procrastination, sometimes because something else that needs attention crops up, sometimes because it is not urgent and can wait. . But yes, most of the time-if it is important.

What is this mythical “to do list” you speak of? I don’t tend to write out an actual list of stuff to do and cross off, it’s more of a mental running list I have going in my head of stuff that needs to get done sometime that week. Things like need to pick up eggs, put gas in the car, throw a load of laundry in. I find I’m way less productive if I have a long list of things to do in any given day, and even less so if I have any kind of appointment to go to. Even something as simple as a chiropractor visit that typically takes less than ten minutes (drop in, no appointment needed) in the actual place will eat almost an hour out of my day (20 minute drive there, 10 minutes inside, 20 minute drive back) and even more if I’m combining trips because the place I go to is close to Target, Costco, Michael’s and a couple other places I occasionally go. I think having a lot of random stuff to do is overwhelming to me. I like to have order and try to have something of a rough weekly schedule to follow. The last year and a half has seemed so chaotic to me. The former schedule I used to have where I was able to get pretty much everything done in an average week has been completely thrown out the window.

I realized at some point recuperating from major surgery during the beginning of the pandemic that my epic-length to-do lists were just self defeating, and not accomplishing stuff was making me feel bad about myself. So I’ve scaled back to maybe 5 must-dos daily, and if one doesn’t get done I just transfer it to the next day. There are people who are multi-taskers, and then there’s me. I am just happier and feel less stressed in general.

I don't have a daily to-do list, most things are just a matter of routine aren't they and I don't feel any need to write them down.

Like Waffles, I usually have 2-3 things on my list to do daily, then I start on things to be done this week and should I finish that, start on things that I want to take care of but time is not the essence.

Are you like actually writing a list every day? I make a list maybe once per year. I do make mental lists of course but no I don’t get everything done.

I usually try to keep my daily to-do list to 3-5 items. I have a weekly list, and I move things to the daily list based on when things are due and what my overall schedule is like. So, I do usually put things on the daily list that I know I can accomplish. Some days though, I don’t do it all. Life happens. Lol!

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. My "to do list" ebbs and flows, sometimes there 1-3 things on it sometimes it, sometimes 4-10 things+ on it.
As a part of my evening chores, I update my next day "to do list" (I use an index card), that I can easily slip in the car cup holder or in the outside pocket of my purse. Whatever doesn't get done, rolls over to the next day to do list. Sometimes things get done that day, sometimes things stay on the list for a week or two or more.
Some things are more of a priority.... Groceries (especially if I am low or out of something). Pay phone bill.
Some things are non-priority.... Renew my Library card (expires January), when I am over that way (it's not in my usual work or errands routes, area, etc...). I will wait until I am in that area, then do it. Buy foaming hand soap when it goes on sale at Bath and Body(still have one bottle left). Wash car.
