Would you rather have Daylight savings all year Standard all year Or keep the time changes

Standard. I need the sun in the early morning and day light savings doesn't give me that.
Funny thing is Ca voted to stop the damn time changes but we have to wait for federal approval. Just end it already. The time change isn't something we need anymore.

Daylight, light at 9:30 dark at 4:30 light Stay on standard, light at 10:30 dark at 5:30 How do you choose between crap and crap?
We just voted in Alberta but it wasn't should we changed yes or no and then should qe be on daylight or standard. It just said should we stay on summer hours all the time. Results were 52% yes to 48% no. Partly, I think because of their faulty question.

Standard year round. I like the sun in the morning and the moon at night. Nightfall signals my mind and body to start shutting down in preparation for sleep.

Standard, it’s more of a priority for me to not have to drive to work in the dark at 6:45 am, especially if it’s raining. I love the lighter evenings, but hate driving in the dark am more.

I'd rather have daylight. It gives time after school to be outside.
I don't mind driving to work in the dark and having it get light when I get home

You forgot a option... "Quit changing and just stick with ONE! Don't care which it is."

There isn’t enough of a benefit for the added chaos it causes in my life twice a year.

I am a morning person; so I prefer the light at the beginning of the day...which means standard time is more suitable for me.

I just want it to stay at one or the other. Since that wasn’t a choice, I picked Standard. I don’t need it to stay light until 8PM in the summer, it makes me feel like I *have* to do things. But then getting dark at 5PM makes me feel rushed to get things done. Just keep it one way or the other, neither way is perfect. 😆

As another pea said,it's basically a choice of crap or crap. I do love summer and the fact that it's not dark by noon so I pick whichever that time is. lol

I prefer that it stay light outside until 7:30pm-8:00pm.
I am a night owl, so morning sunrise timeframe doesn't matter to me, as I am not usually up in the morning unitl 9:00am-11:00am-ish.
I like doing errands after work, cooking outside in the evening, etc... I prefer to do so when it's light outside.
When it gets dark at 5:00pm-ish it makes me feel like the day is winding down and almost over.....but the reality is at 5:00pm I usually have 7-9+ hours left in my day, as I don't usualy go to sleep unitl 1:00am-ish (sometimes later, if I don't have to set the alarm clock for morning wake up).

Standard. If nothing else because I feel like it's more natural to wake up and have some sunlight before we all head out to our days. Right now it's dark when DH leaves for work and at the school bus stop each morning. Blech.

Stick with one, preferably Standard so it's lighter in the morning. No matter what we do, we're never going to change the number of hours of daylight being dictated by the time of year.

I am actually surprised that as of this moment, Standard Time is ahead 2 to 1! I thought most people wanted Daylight Savings. Daylight - 10 votes. Standard - 20 votes.

Daylight - I live in Florida, give me more time at the beach. I'm a late sleeper so no early morning beach time for me. Our community pool closes at 'dusk' (or at least that's what the sign says), more pool time is also good. DH likes to swim laps after dinner.

Here in Belgium, I like the switch. Otherwise, it would be light out at 3:30 am in the summer. 4:30 is early enough! It's light out until 11 pm and I love that I can take a walk at 10 pm and not need a flashlight. In the winter, we only get about 8 hours of daylight, so it's not enough time to wake up in daylight in the middle of the winter. We will retire to Minnesota next year and it's similar. so as much as I hate to change over, it's worth it in the long run.

I feel like Standard is astronomically correct, but I am also of the just pick one mindset.

I'm fine with the changes though I think the spring one comes a little early. The main thing is that we hate having less light each day in winter and we can't do anything about that unless you move far south. It doesn't matter what the clock says, you only have so much daylight.

Just end it already. The time change isn't something we need anymore. I believe all the west coast states are waiting for feeeral approval to go to DST year ‘round. One of these years it’ll happen (I hope)!
