I feel like I’m the only one that doesn’t like the time change in the fall. Gaining the hour really messes with my internal clock. My body wakes me before my alarm every day. My alarm is set to 5:30, but my body wakes me between 5:00 and 5:15 which means I will be waking at 4:00 AM for about a week before I adjust.
For some reason my body gets used to daylight savings time more quickly.

I’m the same way. It takes me a few days for my internal body clock to adjust to the longer day.

I've always liked the extra hour in the fall, but honestly, my body adjusts pretty easily to either.

It is easier for me to adjust to Standard time. Getting tired an hour earlier is easier to deal with than trying to force my body to go to bed an hour earlier. It is the waking up an hour earlier that is hard for me the first week or so of Daylight Savings. .

Spring forward. You loose an hour and it throws my ds off.

Spring forward is always harder for me. But even fall back can throw me off.

I weep in the fall and jump for joy in the spring. I wouldn’t care which one they chose, just pick one and stay on it.
i hate that it gets dark at 4:30 pm. I hardly ever feel the loss or gain of the hour. Just the early darkness. Boo.

They both stink for the parent of a child with autism. Routine is so crucial, and the being hungry and tired at the wrong time takes 2-3 weeks to adjust to the new normal time. I have to warn his aide and all his teachers every year, because they all get surprised when the predictable kid from Sep/Oct turns into a behavioral challenge for 3 weeks in November.

Both. My internal clock is really really strong and it takes about a week to readjust.
I don't do well with traveling across time zones either. I'm always exhausted on trips across the country.

None of it bothers me for more than a day, but I don't like losing an hour of light in the evening.

The hardest adjustment is trying to help DH understand the concept of spring forward/fall back and what the resulting times would be. The man has an MBA but for some reason, his mind won't wrap around it. After trying to explain it 3x this week, I just threw up my hands in despair.

Losing an hour is way worse for me, but then there is the loss of daylight, which messes with me big time. Dark at 4:30pm=bedtime!

Both are equally hard for me to adjust to and therefore I hate them both equally. I don't really care which one, but just pick one and stick with it!

For me it's harder in the spring.
Springing forward....losing an hour sleep messes with my system.

I despise both. I will be up at 4 a.m. tomorrow and asleep by 7 p.m. LOL! Not looking forward to it.

I’m normally fine with either but this year the clocks in the uk went back last weekend while we were in Croatia where their clocks also went back. We travelled home on Sunday which meant that I woke up on Sunday morning, set my watch back an hour & then flew home that evening & set it back another hour & I have been out of whack all week. It’s only now reading this thread that I’m wondering if this is why.

While I prefer having more daylight at the end of the day, it’s just because I like it to be light out longer. Neither change bothered me at all actually. I will notice the first day, like oh I’m a little tired “earlier” or “later” than usual but it doesn’t affect me.

Fall back. I naturally wake up at 5:15 no matter what(don't get me started) waking up at 4:15 am is ridiculous. I also get tired when it's dark so I'm ready to go to bed at 5 pm. Spring forward works better for my weird inner clock.

Mentally, it is waaaaaayyyyyy harder for me Falling Back, because it means summer is over and I have to suffer through the cold dark days of winter.
Physically, neither are a hard adjustment for me. My body clock adjusts pretty much immediately.

Aside from waking early for a day or sometimes two when the clocks go back, I adjust quite easily.
For those that struggle with Spring Forward, try to get as much sun as possible on the first few days, particularly in the late afternoon. It seems to help with resetting your internal clock. Same goes for time changes from travelling.

Not sure why, but Spring forward is easier for me.
It feels like that is more natural for my body.

I hardly ever feel the loss or gain of the hour. Just the early darkness. Boo. I read the other day that someone is trying to pass legislation to keep the DST. I wish! We moved 7 minutes from our old house and the sun passes over the mountain ever faster now. So even though our sun down time was 5:35 today, it happened here about an hour earlier than that. Love the new house, but I hate the loss of daylight.
