If my deal goes through, I’m all about motivation. I hear my seat area will be sore for the first two or so weeks. 😩 What happened to your elbows?? I fell straight down on the palms of my hands. It jammed/fractured my elbows. I have to keep my arms moving. I don’t have strength back yet. My right is worse than my left. So I’m working on getting them moving, but no pressure allowed at this point. Oh no, I hope you feel better soon. What is the pea hashtag for peloton? And I'd love to get in on a group thread or ride! I haven't been on the bike in weeks and I really need to. FWIW, my screen doesn't swivel and it doesn't pose any issues. I would only want it for other types of off the bike classes and downloaded the app to my TV and ipad.

The bike plus also has auto resistance for on demand rides. I don't think the swivel screen is a deal breaker - I mirror my ipad to my tv to see the big screen.
Note: I do not have a peloton bike but use the app with my bike and do strength etc.

For a Bike+, yes, that's a very good price. Honestly, a little suspiciously low if it's actually been used that little. I think it’s low bc marketplace is loaded with them. But now I’m wondering if I need the plus or save $800 and get just the bike. I read you can add a swivel arm to the reg bike. Help! Wow, interesting. We have a fair number of them here but none that sell at steep discounts, and very few Bike+ for sale at all. With the accessories and the discount, she's losing about $1000 on a bike that holds resale very well. That makes me scratch my head if she doesn't have a good reason (like moving and can't take it). Perhaps I'm overly cautious because there have been multiple causes of Marketplace fraud here with Pelotons. The other big advantage of the Bike+ (and for me, personally, it's what is tempting me to get one) is the auto-resistance. The bike automatically adjusts resistance during class according to what the instructor directs (you can adjust yourself too).

My brain goes right to that as well. (What would make it fraudulent other than getting robbed!) serious question. Is there something people are doing to the bikes? She had it listed for $2500 8 weeks ago. Dropped it to 2k recently. I asked what her final price was to sell it and she said 1800. I did find a bike for 1000 today but dh said I should get the latest technology. He said it will have a better resale when I sell it in two months bc I hate it. 🙄

Bike+ is totally worth it! I upgraded in June and LOVE the Bike+. It is totally worth the extra. The $40 vs $13 for bike vs ap is so worth it. The bike gives you so much information that isn't available if you don't have a subscription. I rarely ride live, but to do that you need the sub. I love that it stores all my info and that at any time I go to hop on there are people I can ride with on any ride.
I am a huge fan of the Power Zone Pack and Hardcore on the Floor. Both have Facebook groups are are really supportive and helpful.

I have heard of quite a lot of Pelotons listed for great prices, they insist on $x to hold it for pickup since there's so much demand, and then they disappear. And are likely taking those "deposits" from multiple people.

Speaking of FB groups, stay away from the main Peloton one, OP. It's toxic and horrible. What is wrong with me that this makes me immediately want to check it out? 😬 Do it! They are in-fucking-sane there. The most benign posts bring out the ugliest responses. Mean, nasty/snarky (not funny/snarky), obnoxious - just a terrible place.

Speaking of FB groups, stay away from the main Peloton one, OP. It's toxic and horrible. What is wrong with me that this makes me immediately want to check it out? 😬 Same!! I actually joined a newbie FB page. Of course that’s where the idea was planted that maybe just get the bike instead of the plus. I’m so wishy washy. Also, I searched her name. Found an address and google earthed it. The good news it’s not a dark alley! We’ll see what address she gives me when we set up a time.

Mean, nasty/snarky (not funny/snarky), obnoxious - just a terrible place. This is all true. It crazy how Peloton allows a group with their name on it to be so vile. But also in the flip side, some people ask the stupidest questions or make the dumbest comments as a post and honestly, they deserve some of those replies!

I did it! Not gonna lie…it’s a bit intimidating. There is a pea hashtag but I think I unfollowed it because you are only allowed 9. I’ve never seen a pea when I’ve was following the tag. You are more likely to find your “people” to ride with by figuring out what instructor/s you vibe with and then following a Facebook page for them. All other peloton related FB pages/groups I follow are made up of just the nicest people! It’s like the total opposite of the official Peloton page. It’s weird.
