The other Sephora sale thread kind of went off the rails, so thought I'd start a new one now that the sale's actually going for everyone.
What did you end up getting and what worked and what didn't?
*I bought the Lawless plumping gloss in velvet and I LOVE IT. Seriously love love love.
*I also bought the Glow Recipe gift set and the vitamin c serum. I ended up returning both. The toner in the gift set totally broke me out and the vitamin C serum felt sticky to me. I didn't try the mask in the gift set, but I did try the Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops. I know a lot of people rave about them, but I don't think they're anything special.
*I bought the Patrick Ta lamination brow gel because it was the first time I’d seen it in stock and while I wouldn’t say it gives the look of lamination, I love it. Immediately became my new favorite brow gel.
*Item Beauty lengthening mascara - picked it up on a whim and it’s a winner for me. I have really short lashes so I always want lengthening but that usually comes with a definite mascara look. Sometimes I want a more natural look (think Glossier Lash Slick) but with added length. This totally hits that mark for me.
*Tower 28 Tinted Sunscreen - This is great and will use the tube for sure. Whether I'll rebuy is up in the air. It's exactly what I like in tinted sunscreen - good color match, light coverage, feels good on the skin, looks like skin, etc. But Australian Gold is my current go-to tinted sunscreen and it also hits those marks for me. And when Australian Gold is $16 for 3 oz vs. Tower 28 at $30 for 1 oz... I think I like the Tower 28 better, but not *that* much better. However, Tower 28 has a MUCH better color range, so if you have a difficult time finding a match with most tinted sunscreens, check it out.
Those are the new things for me. I did get a couple existing favorites that I was getting low on, but didn't restock on everything I planned on because I decided I just don't need that much

Funny, I was just over on that thread as I was finishing up my online order. I got: *Murad Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF30. A favorite of mine. I wear it every day. It smells good and doesn't make my face breakout.
*Tartelette™ Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette. I needed to replace my old NakedPalette and as I get older, I can't stand the look of shimmery eyeshadows on me. This one looks nice - I think I'll use most of the colors. I generally like Tarte cosmetics.
*Blinc Mascara. My tried and true favorite. I needed a new tube because I went ahead and got permanent eyeliner done and didn't want to risk getting an eye infection from the old tube.
*Caudalie Vinoperfect Dark Spot Brightening Set. I love the radiance serum, and you get a full sized bottle, along with nice sized samples of a glycolic essence and a night cream for the same price as the bottle alone.
Plus I picked out some samples and cashed in some points for stocking stuffers for my kids.

I have way too much stuff as is- especially since I’ve really paired down my makeup routine. I’m rouge - but only because due to covid I think they extended everyone’s status for the following year (same with Ulta and they kept me as diamond). I won’t be either next year. I only got my drunk elephant cleaning balm, my bumble and bumble color stick (for touching up gray), and my Kielhs facial cleanser and hand salve.

Most of my order was restocking regular products I use. New to me was the Inkey Caffeine Eye cream (not a fan) and the mini KVD tattoo eyeliner. Love the KVD and will repurchase in full size. Just wish there was a gray option.

I haven't gotten my order yet. After reading @busys list I looked through my primers and started using a sample of Bite Changemaker primer. Decided I think I like it, and it was on sale (30% off plus VIB discount). I had a sample of the one for normal/dry skin but typically I would say I am more oily on my nose. So I ended up ordering both formulas and may return one, or save the oily skin one for summer if it seems decent. I also ordered Charlotte Tilbury Happikiss and am excited to try it. I got my hair cut the other day and my stylist uses Moroccanoil hairspray. I liked it but am trying to hold off on buying it since I want to use up what I have. But what if the hairspray is the secret to getting my hair salon worthy at home? lol

Lol *off the rails* indeed. 🙈🥴🤣
I got my order yesterday.
I really don’t *need* more brushes, so I passed on getting some.
I did get the ND retro palette. Haven’t tried it yet, but was pleased none arrived broken. 😂
I got the two Rare Beauty mini mauves lip duo. I haven’t tried this brands lip products before, but I like these so far. Creamy without being sticky. Haven’t tested how long they last yet. The color is perfect for winter.
I did get the kaja beauty eyeshadows in mocha spritz. I think these will be a nice travel set.
I did also grab the Glow Recipe Guava vitamin c dark spot serum. I will give this 30 days to try. I do have a few dark spots (thanks Australian sun childhood) so hoping this will give the inkey and good molecules tranexamic acid ones I’ve been trying. It has great ingredients so I’m hopeful. Those are good and a much lower price point - so if this not a major difference I just won’t repurchase and will stick with inkey and good molecules ones.
Sadly by the time my discount was able to be used, the charlotte tilbury stuff I wanted was sold out, so looks like I’ll just have to wait for a sale on her website to pick those up.

Oh goodness, I went overboard.
Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel - I like it so far. Can't tell a difference in my skin (its only been two days) but I like how my skin feels afterwards. Dr. Jart BB Cream - I have used it once and liked it enough to keep it. Not sure its a repeat purchase item yet. Tarte Fake Awake - this is a repeat purchase Caudalie Purifying Face Mask - I like a lot so far Paulas Choice Retinol - repeat purchase Some Sephora brand eyeshadow kit for my DH's 13 year old niece - its bright colors and she will love it. Bobbi Brown eye shadow stick in Nude Beach - love it
I think that's all. Though I feel like I am forgetting something.
But my *find* of the sale was the Glow Recipe Vit. C Dark Spot Serum. Its priced $45 on the website, but my store had it mis-priced at $35. So I got my Rouge discount on top of the $10 savings of it being mis-priced. So it was practically a steal. FWIW, I noticed the price being wrong before I checked out and told the sales lady. She offered to give it to me at the sales price and I took her up on it. LOL I haven't gone back to see if they actually c\hanged the price in store or not.
