And it has cheered me up immensely! My DD has just been offered a job with Tesco, on their graduate recruitment programme as a software developer. There were over 1000 applications for 12 places. And she was offered one of them. I posted a couple of months ago about how proud I was of her for achieving a First Class Honours degree, all by distance learning. She was worried that her two disabilities (autism and a degenerative genetic disorder that requires her to use a wheelchair) would go against her when applying for jobs, but the recruiter told her she had the leadership qualities they were looking for, and they were very impressed with her performance. I am so proud of how she has turned her life around. Her mental health was atrocious, and ten years ago last week, she was so brutally raped that I thought she would never lead a normal life. But now, she has worked hard, she has achieved everything she set out to do, and will be working for one of the UK’s top companies. I could actually burst right now.

A.MAY.ZING to quote CRH. You must be thrilled and she will be equally so. Just the lift you needed right now! What a great kid. (just as an aside, I'm another one wanting you to get a puppy. )

(just as an aside, I'm another one wanting you to get a puppy. )Good grief, what are you all like?! Just don’t tell JoP. If she starts sending me pictures of puppies, my uncertainty will somehow result in a Great Dane turning up at the door, carrying a bindle of all his worldly possessions. 🤦🏼♀️
