I would like to get my best friend a custom/personalized charcuterie board. She is married but honestly, I doubt it's going to last another few years. I want to personalize the board but not with her married last name. Is "Suzy's Charcuterie" too boring?
Any other ideas?

Maybe just the initial of her first name? Where does the personalization go? Whenever I see them advertised it seems it would be covered up or make a decent part of the board unusable if you want it to show. eta: I helped my parents pick out a wall of nice shelving for my sister and her husband as a wedding gift, and we chose it completely to her taste so she could enjoy it after the divorce. I think she’s had it for over 20 years now, maybe 25. He only lasted about 5.

I would also just do her initial. Or just a pretty board with no personalization - you know your friend of course but I would prefer it plain. There are so many beautiful boards out there.

If you are looking for a shop my SIL and Bro have a small woodworking shop (also on Etsy). They have stock as well as take custom orders. "Gallery | Briskwood Design" www.briskwooddesign.com/gallery

Is there something she loves, like butterflies, or flowers, or something else? I follow this gal on IG who makes these amazing boards using epoxy on the wood to create the ocean and other things. Let me see if I can find her.

THis is what I was going to suggest. So 2nd vote for something more symbolic than using a full name.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I’m still deciding 😁
I have another question, which of these is correct/better:
A) Wine and cheese pairs best with great friends
B) Wine and cheese pair best with great friends

I found a guy on Marketplace that uses Kentucky Bourbon barrel heads and makes all sort of things out of them. He can customize anything. And the boards look really cool in person: KY Crafts by GAP

So funny you posted this, I purchased one of these on Etsy for my SIL last Christmas. There are many shops that use this technique on Etsy, with different colors and some incorporate metallic paint. They’re beautiful!

A few years ago a friend of mine received a cutting board that had one of her mom’s recipes on it that my friend and her Mom made all the time. The recipe was in the Moms handwriting. My friends mom had passed so this was extremely special to her
