My daughter and I always get Universal Yums for a few months... And this year I am giving Escape the Crate a try to have some date nights with my DH. **I was given a referral code if anyone is interested: escape-the-crate.cratejoy.com/refer/Betha-CNNKYKXFWhat other subscriptions have you loved (I have a 17 year old DD who is into baking, pop culture, Disney...and a 19 year old DS who is in college and into political items, wrestling (think olympics), legos and a DH who doesn't have any particular hobbies.)

So far this year I am giving a 2 bag a month, 3 month subscription to Seattle Coffee gear: www.seattlecoffeegear.com/subscriptions/gift-subscriptionsYou can do 1, 3, or 6 months subscriptions for 2-3 bags per month. I also gave a yearlong membership to Latta wines (a small WA state winery that my friends and I really like). I did the same last year for another person. I love that they will do 3 bottle allotments, twice a year. Most other winery memberships/subscriptions are 6 bottles twice a year. www.lattawines.com/

Everytime he visits, he comments that he misses "good" coffee (they are temporarily living in New York).

I actually did this because my NYC living son said the same thing (and also lamented how much coffee they go through since both he and his partner now WFH full-time) when I was visiting last week. I am hopeful that they like it enough to continue the subscription after the initial 3 months are over.

The favorite one I relieved was the Cat Lady box. Every month I was the recipient of a box of items for the home that were cat related. Some items were kitchen things, others were desk things and so forth. Also included in many of the boxes were t-shirts and hoodies with cat logos on them. I loved it as did my cat who was included in the gifts with a toy or two each time.
If I ever were to gift a subscription that would be my go to for a cat lady.

Universal Yums and BarkBox have both been hits for us. For kids, Kiwi Co (formerly called Kiwi Crate) was a huge hit, We ended up doing that for our great nephew for 2 years in a row. Does anyone know of a gardening related subscription appropriate for a 9 year old? Great nephew inherited the family green thumb (that totally skipped me) and really enjoys gardening.

I’ve done several:
Crafted Taste Cocktails. Have done this one for several people and it’s well received.
Kiwi- for my then tween son. They were great to have during Covid with the extended shut down of school
Flower Letter Subscription. I gave this to my mom. She gets 2 letters a mom and do the Audrey Rose collection. “Welcome to the premiere storytelling experience in the Flower Letter collection. The Audrey Rose series pulls the curtain back on a pivotal moment during WWII as we meet two star-crossed Americans at the run up to one of the most significant days in our history: June 6, 1944…D-Day.” She loves this.
We also did a subscription to my in-laws of authentic Italian food products.
Annie’s Kit club for my niece. This is great for girls who like to craft. My sister said this was perfect.

If you have a person of faith who is a Lutheran, we give my in-laws a subscription to Portals of Prayer. It’s $20.50 a year for the large print version and ships 4 times a year, covering 3 months at a time. www1.cph.org/portals/default.aspxFor Catholics, we have the Magnificat (https://bookstore.magnificat.net/subscription/index) $47 for regular print and $67.50 for large print. The Magnificat Kid version ($34.50) is excellent and includes the Order of the Mass to follow along. My DH is Lutheran and likes to use it to follow along. It’s very good! Digital versions of both are available as well.

We also got an Escape the Crate subscription subscription for date nights during lockdown and really enjoyed it, especially with a bottle of wine. In a similar vein, The Deadbolt Mystery Society is also very good.
