If you were sending the fixings for meatball sandwiches what kind of sauce would you send?
Marinara, tomato, spaghetti? Unfortunately it needs to be bought…jarred, canned, or other options. I would be willing to doctor something up if it would help. What would you send? Thanks for any suggestions.

I would send spaghetti sauce. I usually sprinkle on some Italian seasoning on meatball sandwiches. Also lots of cheese!

We always use jarred sauce for meatball subs. Our go-to ‘s are ragu pizza quick or traditional Prego.

My meatball sandwiches consist of frozen meatballs browned in the skillet with a bag of Kroger 3-pepper and onion blend and smothered with a jarred sauce (Prego or Ragu, 3-cheese or onion/garlic flavor), served on bakery buns and topped with provolone, and toasted in the oven to get the cheese all melted. These are definitely not gourmet, but they are very tasty!
Now I’ve got to add meatball subs to next weeks menu!

But if you're cooking, let me know when to stop by!

I fix my meatball subs largely the same as already described here already and I just use jarred spaghetti sauce.

Pizza sauce, jarred—Rao’s when available, Classico, if not, then either Prego or Ragu

We use Paul Newman Sock a Roni sauce as well as Classico and add Italian seasonings to it while warming.

I would use spaghetti sauce, too. DH would probably say marinara, but personally, I don't see much difference. This is something we debate on a regular basis! Any good jarred sauce is perfect and I would add green pepper and onion.
