Please check in to let us know you are safe from last night's storms.

The weather here yesterday was bizarre.
It was cloudy, but temps were in the 70s. So DH and I spent some time working in the front flower beds and moving things that could get blown in the expected storms.
Last night when I changed for bed I noticed my shoulders and chest were sunburned. In December.
Front edge of the storms blew in about 8:30 or 9pm and the tornado sirens went off just after midnight. DH, DD, and all of the animals and I all went downstairs and watched the local weather. My dad who sleeps downstairs slept through it all.
Power only surged for less than a minute. The tornadic activity was north and west of us.
Had hella strong thunderstorms for a few more hours.
This morning we went outside to check for any damage and it was in the 40s. Brr.
Thankfully, we only lost one small piece of siding. I think we were really blessed.
I have family in Kentucky and a friend from college lives close to Mayfield and has family in that town.
I hope all of the Peas stayed safe and didn't suffer much damage.

We’re buried in snow, but we’re used to that. DH bought himself a new V plow for his truck about six weeks ago so he spent some time this morning plowing out our driveway and a few of our neighbors. Our neighbor at the cabin has a couple snowmobiles to sell and DH is helping with that, so hopefully this will help move them along to new homes.

It's so windy in Michigan that our stone birdbath blew over. Trees down all over the place. But it was 57 degrees this morning.
