My daughter and I will be going to the Magic Kingdom for two days this weekend for her birthday. I have reserved and purchased our tickets for those days and it is confirmed through the app. We visited previously this past June and had magic bands - will these magic bands be able to be used with our new reservations? Do we need to visit guest services first, before entering the park to have them linked?
Also, I purchased the photo pass too with my reservations. Do I need to do anything to have it linked to the magic bands?
Has anyone used the Genie yet? Do I need this in my life?
Thank you for any information you can give me. We used a Disney planner previously, so I feel like I am flying alone this time.

As long as you have not inactivated your magic bands through app/website they will work. Just make sure the band belongs to you…you cannot reassign yours to someone else.
Photo pass should be linked as well under your account. Log into the my Disney experience app and you should see your tickets.

I agree with the above on the magic bands.
I have used Genie +, and ILLs. Genie itself (the free version) is useless. Only having two days during the holidays, I would plan to rope drop and use genie+ to maximize your days. With both days at Magic Kingdom you may be able to get through everything you want without paying but it would depend on how Disney savvy you are.
