I'm sorry your mom is so sick, and sorry that she won't get vaccinated. I hope the infusion puts her on the path to recovery.

I’m so sorry to hear about your moms illness. I can understand your frustration and worry. My FIL has a lady friend who got the antibody infusion several months ago, and had a good experience. She started feeling better pretty quickly afterwards, but she was vaccinated, so her’s was a case of breakthrough COVID. The vaccine likely made her case less severe to begin with. I hope your mom recovers quickly.
ETA she also said that the infusion process went quickly and was not painful.

Sigh. My 79-year-old father steadfastly refuses any vaccinations because he feels they are not necessary. I hope I am not writing a similar post soon, but who knows. It will be a miracle if I am not (writing such a post).

Got the first vaccine after I scheduled it for him. Didnt go for the second. He and MIL are far right, conspiracy theory loving non believers. He got covid. Drove himself an hour from home to get the monoclonal antibodies. 🙄🙄🙄 My feeling is, own your choice. You dont believe it is serious, you wont get the vaccine- stay away from the hospitals and stay away from the "experimental" treatments. They missed ds' college graduation because of their idiocy. |
