Looking only at this past month, What is your immediate family’s vaccination status and how have you all been with covid?
My house: 2 of us Moderna and booster College son-Pfizer and booster
So far none of us have had Covid. DH has been working the whole time. I teach in person. DS goes to college and lives in the dorms. His college does have a vaccination requirement for students and staff and there were very few cases until December started. Even then it was a low number.
How is it going in your home? My friends and I were talking about boosters and Omicron.

DH and I are vaccinated and boosted, 12 year olds and 6 year olds have had both shots. All Pfizer.
I’ve been working the whole time, 1 year on the Covid response team at work. We’ve somehow managed to avoid getting it but I feel that isn’t going to last long. My daughter starts her gymnastics season next week which means lots of travel and enclosed spaces. Wouldn’t surprise me if some of it gets cancelled but this is her last season so that would a bitter pill with all the work she’s out in.

My youngest DS got vaccinated. DH, older DS and I can’t get boosted until January but we made the appointments. So far, we haven’t gotten Covid. DH started working from home again, kids are in school and we had 3 indoor play dates with masks before the numbers shot up. After the numbers got too high, we only do outside play dates. This past week, I came to the realization that I’ll probably get Covid at some point and I just hope it’s after I’m allowed to get the booster.

Dd, dh, and I have had all 3 Pfizer vaccines. So vaccinated + booster. Ds will hopefully be getting his booster soon (15).
We are doing fine. We go out and do things outside. No more movies for now. Outdoor things, drive thru events, etc.
Always wear our masks.
Saw my parents at their home for Christmas Eve Eve and then here for Christmas day.
We are just as careful as we can be.

No Covid here. We're all Moderna vaxxed and boosted.
Two of younger DD's vaxxed friends (college aged) have Covid right now along with their entire families. All light cases or asymptomatic.
One of her friends and their entire family of 6 (4 kids ages 10-18) are unvaxxed and the whole family is very ill right now. The parents, especially the dad, are militant anti-vaxxers and have had to withdraw from their jobs (they're both professional orchestra musicians) because the ensembles are requiring players to be vaccinated. I admit to some schadenfreude about that. I don't want anyone to die. But some general misery would not come amiss.
I'm not aware of anyone else in our circle who is currently testing positive. I go back to school on Monday, so I'm sure that will change!

DH, DD1 (20), DS1 (18) and I are all vaxxed+ boosted. DD2 just turned 16 yesterday, and is now eligible to get her booster. DS2 is only 13, and is vaxxed.
None of us have had COVID. Three of us work in the restaurant industry, though, and masks are rarely worn here, so I fully expect us to get Omicron.

Me - double vaxxed and boosted (Pfizer) I work in community development and have continued in person for all except the last 2 weeks of March 2020.
DD22 - double vaxxed, works retail, coworker currently +
DD20 - double vaxxed, attended university in person last year and this. Her university was nearly Covid free during the entire pandemic until a super spreader event in early December that has impacted many provinces numbers because of contacts. She made it out without contracting it while many of her friends did. She is home for holidays and classes are going to start back online mid January, with a hope to go in person by end of January.
We are all diligent with masking, hand washing, etc and have lots of rapid tests available. Just got N95 masks Hoping for the best but realistically I think this variant and its level of contagiousness will probably hit us.

Dh and I are vaxxed and boosted. Dh— J&J and Pfizer (boosted November/early December) Me— Pfizer all around (boosted very end of October) Dd— (college student in another state) Pfizer, Pfizer Dd (lives on her own, in a different State)—Moderna, Moderna, Pfizer
College-age dd was planning on getting her booster when she came home after finals. She was just at the six month mark Nov. 30. unfortunately she was symptomatic/positive early in December. Now she has to wait for her booster.
I think it’s a matter of time for the rest of us.

Both dh and I are vax'd and boostered. We've been in a few crowded places while wearing masks. We wear our masks everywhere.
No COVID here.
Oldest ds is vax'd but I don't know if he got his booster shot. I'm not even sure if he'd tell us he has covid unless I ask. He's living with his dad now. We went from chatting almost every day to radio silence for several days at a time.
Youngest ds is vax'd and should be getting the booster soon. I think he's waiting to be told he has to get it vs seeking it out on his own. (Military) Last time we talked, he hasn't had it. He has been tested multiple times, all negative.

Dh vaxxed and boosted right before Thanksgiving. (Pfizer) Has not had COVID and was definitely exposed before I tested positive.
I am vaxxed (Pfizer)but not boosted due to tetanus shot Dec. 1st. Dr.said wait 2 weeks before booster. Have not had COVID until I tested positive 12/17, the day I was going to get my booster. My case was bearable, like a bad cold with a cough and low-grade temp. Was uncomfortable for a few days but was not bedfast at any point. Not sure where I got it, i.e., no known exposure, but I do work at Primary School.
Much sicker with pneumonia in 2003.
Ds 26, unvaxxed (don’t get me started…) thinks he might have had Alpha early in 2020 but not tested. Has not been sick until this month when he also got sick when I did, but did not test. Self-Quarantined with sore throat, fever and tiredness. Was fine in 5 days, Q’d for 10. He does not live with us, but we saw him the weekend before we both got sick when we both attended a local music show where he plays lead and we both sang.
I do think the recent booster has protected Dh so far. I am 70, Dh is 72.
My Sister-in-law in NY who is vaxxed and boosted but has serious underlying issues caught it from vaxxed (not sure about her booster) 16 y/o niece before Christmas. Got the monoclonal antibody treatment, and thankfully is recovering w/o being hospitalized. Niece is fine after a mild, cold-like case. Brother, vaxxed and boosted and definitely exposed, did not get sick. I have read that the antibody tx is not effective on Omicron, so thankfully she just got a milder case. She is our main family concern re COVID.
Pretty sure this is all Omicron, though they say Delta is still around. Cases here in AR have skyrocketed over the last two weeks, but lots of unvaxxed and no mask mandates. Very few folks are wearing masks, I do wear mine.

DH and I are fully vaxxed and we just got our booster (AZ/Moderna/Moderna). We were doing great until Dec. 26. FIL got Covid and then DH. Super mild thankfully, just a cold with cough. I have so far evaded the virus, but I guess DH now has a full assortment of antibodies to work with.
DH has managed to stay employed the whole time (airline industry - rough 18 months) and has been traveling a lot the last couple months.
We actually just had a trip to Aruba in late October/early November - apparently slotted in right between Delta and Omicron waves so we're grateful we got to go.
Hoping for a better 2022, but not as naively hopeful as I was this time last year.

We were planning a spring trip to Belize but we are not finalizing anything until February when we can better see how things are going.

DH & I both had Pfizer, and Pfizer booster in November. No Covid here.
DH works from home and rarely leaves the house. I take the dog to the park every day and run quick errands afterwards. Always wear a mask indoors and practice social distancing. Even outdoors we don't get too close to people. Haven't eaten inside a restaurant yet and we avoid crowds.

All of us double vaccinated with Pfizer.
DH and I boosted.
18 year-old son caught a case of breakthrough COVID at his high school band’s holiday class party, as did several other students. We have multiple breakouts at the school.
Fortunately his worst symptom was a sore throat, and he feels fine now. He’s just sad he lost most of his holiday break to it, but we’re fortunate it wasn’t worse.
DH and I both had two COVID tests each in the week after our son’s diagnosis, required by our respective jobs, and they were all negative. We both worked the entire time.

DH and I vaxxed and boosted DD18 vaxxed and got booster today. Goes back to school on Tuesday. DD15 vaxxed but not yet eligible for booster. Saw a headline today that her age group may be eligible soon.
People around here have largely given up on mask wearing and there are many anti vaxxers. I’m afraid it’s inevitable for us, hoping symptoms will be mild when it happens.

DH, DD2, DD3, and I are all vaxxed x2, and DH and I are also boosted. DD2 has an apartment but has been staying with us for the holidays; DD3 lives at home.
So far, no known exposures to COVID and no symptoms, so none of us have tested.
DD2 works at Red Lobster a few days a week. No COVID cases reported there that would require testing.
DD3 works at a local restaurant a couple of days a week. They had a case of COVID but she was not exposed. She also works at the hospital, so obviously she has been around COVID, but she follows PPE protocols, and so far, so good.
Mom (85), my brother (disabled and diabetic), and my sister (helps with brother’s care) are double-vaxxed and boosted. Mom and brother rarely leave the house, so limited exposure, and they do mask when they go anywhere.
Sister went on a cruise in early December. She quarantined and tested before she came back to Mom’s house.
My oldest DD gets her booster next week. She works in HR and is dealing with a lot of COVID case-management right now. She is afraid it will be ugly this winter.

Just dh and I living here:
I had both doses of moderna and moderna booster. Have not had covid.
Dh had the one dose of J&J and no booster as of yet. He had a bad long cold for awhile and didn’t want to get boostered during that (he tested for covid just in case but didn’t have it). Now that he’s finally better I’ll work on him for the booster (I had to for vaccination).
We live in a mask mandated state (and people pretty Much abide by in our area) and we both work from home mostly or just around one person for short periods.

Received my booster Monday, developed symptoms Tuesday. Had a hard time deciphering my symptoms as side effects vs possible COVID as I had challenging side effects with my first two doses of the Moderna vaccine. And now here I am isolated in my spare bedroom and more than likely COVID positive. Anxiously awaiting PCR results…. I did have an exposure to a close family member who is in fact COVID positive. 😔 He had two negative antigen tests taken the same day as his PCR. His PCR resulted as positive late Wednesday night. FTR, my entire household and all of my immediate family members (three other family members that don’t live with me but are within my “bubble”) are vaccinated and boosted aside from my 12 y/o DD. DD will receive her booster as soon as she is able to.

DH and I both were boostered late Nov/early Dec. Me: 2x AZ, booster Biontech (Pfizer) DH: AZ, Biontech, booster Biontech
I have been working part time in after school care for most of November and December - I go in as needed for sickness cover and for craft sessions. DH has been back in the office almost full time, but they have only about 20% in the office on most days.
In mid-December, I had two covid exposures. One was a ping through my phone app, that said I had been in the same place as someone who later tested positive - the notification came 7 days after the exposure, so I am not sure if I was really within the 'danger' period. The second was more concerning - one of the children in our after school care returned a positive test Thursday pm, after I had been in for 4 hours each on Wednesday and Thursday. In the end, it was a child I hadn't had a lot of contact with, and I tested negative 3 times in the following 2 weeks.

Dh vaccinated and boosted with Pfizer, all three doses were very early because he got it through his job as an essential worker (not healthcare...."essential" for continuity of government). Me, same but with Moderna. Dd, same with Moderna. She got her vaccine and booster immediately when they were approved because she works at our county vaccine clinics. She was living with us up until the beginning of December when she moved to the next county over. Ds and his fiancée, both vaccinated and boosted with Moderna. Despite their age (young) and overall health (excellent) they were able to get the vaccine and booster almost immediately because they live in Georgia where there was (and still is) much less demand than up here in Northern Virginia. Fiancée's dd turned 12 not long ago, before the vaccine was approved for the younger children. She started school at the end of August, before she turned 12, and almost immediately got covid. She was pretty sick for about a week. So far none of the rest of us have had covid. Dh goes to work but there are only about 3 or them in the office. The State Department has been very good about moving to teleworking and not pressuring people to return to the building. -- I have been subbing but before Omicron we had very few cases here. But just before the winter break cases suddenly zoomed up, and I'm rethinking doing any subbing for awhile. We will see. We feel that if anyone is going to get covid it will be dd since she's working at the vaccine clinics. She wears a good mask when she's there but still...all those people who are there either for a first or second dose, or the booster.. And when they do pediatric days with kids crying sometimes and more people overall (since each kid has to come with at least one parent, but often they come with both and with siblings)... well, we will see about that too. The thing that I'm seeing more and more of is people who I know are vaccinated who are getting more serious covid. The last two who ended up in the ICU were before Omicron, but still they were both vaccinated. Now more and more are positive with what we assume is Omicron. None of the ones who I know personally have needed the ICU but several have been pretty sick.

I am triple full dose Moderna vaxxed, I teach 2nd grade in person with no mask mandates. I have not had COVID.
My husband and two kids are all vaxxed and boosted with Pfizer. Dd 22 is at college and working at the mall. No COVID. DS 16 is in person high school and working with no COVID. Husband works in person with no masks, but is in his own office. No COVID.
I feel like it is only a matter of time come Monday and we are all back to real life. Numbers here are out of control.

I'm an NHS worker. I had suspected Covid back in March 2020 but there were no tests then so we'll never know whether that's what it was. It was mild but I had post-viral syndrome/long Covid.
I'm triple-vaccinated (all Pfizer) and my booster is in a week and a half. My antibody test in the autumn of 2021 was positive.
DH is vaccinated and boosted (A-Z & Moderna I think). He hasn't had Covid.

Currently we have 3 cases of covid, hopefully we all quarantined quick enough that it ends there. The 3 who have it, all adult kids/so's - one has pfizer and isn't yet eligible for booster. She's been very sick. Second had booster scheduled (2nd dose April) but didn't get yet (pfizer) has mild symptoms of sore throat, stuffy nose. Third had booster on Friday and tested positive about a week later due to exposure. No symptoms at all.
Most of the rest of us have had a booster already and hopefully the positive ones quarantined quick enough so as not to infect the rest of us. Where we are, everyone know someone with an active case. It's crazy

Me - Moderna and booster as well as DH. DD Pfizer and Moderna booster. So far no Covid but this morning I woke up with congestion and mild sore throat. I work in a hospital we are all fully masked. We have one self test left at home so I will take it later.
My sister is vaxxed and boosted as is her DH. Her kids (all 16 & older) are only vaxxed Christmas was cancelled as one of my sisters kids tested positive Christmas Eve morning. Her second kid tested positive on Sunday and her third is now sick and they assume it would be positive. All pretty mild except my nephew (who doesn't live with them) only had J&J -was scheduled for booster but got sick before he could get it. He has been sick for about 3 weeks and said he has never been this sick in his life.
My whole goal was to keep DD from getting it as she flies back to Florida Sat. The area she lives and goes to school is pretty heavily masked so I will hate if she picks it up here. But I live in Ohio and our numbers are some of the highest in the country. The hospital where I work (a childrens hospital) previously had an overflow Covid floor for the adult hospitals but we are full with children now.

No Covid so far. Just DH and I and we are both vaxxed and boosted. DH resumed service calls just before Christmas. He was in a car accident just before Thanksgiving that sidelined him for a few weeks due to an injury and a totaled vehicle. He has resumed mask wearing. He always asks about vaccine status. Often people ask him first when booking appointments. I went to a holiday party, masked but otherwise I haven't had extended contact with very many people.
I want to visit some extended family who have flown in and are at my cousin's house. Cousin and wife are vaccinated, arriving family is not. I'm still undecided about this visit.

So far, so good:
All Pfizer vaxxed and boosted. One daughter exposed at work but hasn't come down with it.
Younger daughter is in self-isolation because she desperately wants to go back to college on Sunday and doesn't want to test positive when she gets there.
I feel like I'm in the movie "Jaws" with covid circling and a John Williams score playing - but we're hanging in there so far. I'm in the camp where we'll get it at some point, but holding it off as long as we can.

We are all vaxxed and boosted here and no case this month in our immediate family.
My sil’s sister had it (she is vaxxed and boosted) so my brother and her decided to stay at home for Christmas as they were exposed. Good decision to play it safe.
I’m worried about when the kids go back to school next week…
