We have a NordicTrack s22i bike and also an elliptical. I LOVE iFIT! Join the groups on FB - they are SUPER helpful. There are monthly challenges that are really motivating. I believe it is similar to the Peloton app WELCOME!

I love ifit. I do the beginning running series that Knox Robinson and Tommy rivers. It is really cool to see places like Portland, Morocco, South Africa, Portugal, I think I have done a few that were in other places but I didn't continue those series. I notice most of the running series will start you at a fast pace but I will switch it to one I am more comfortable with and it will remember.

Make sure you have a really good wifi connection close to the treadmill. I couldn’t get it to work at the old house because our router was upstairs and the treadmill was in the basement. I don’t have it rebuilt yet at the new house. We are looking at a spin bike and I’m leaning towards the iFit ones over the peloton because we already have an iFit treadmill.

I have a peloton and a ifit treadmill.
I will say I am not a runner or a spinner. I'm lazy.
However, I am now working out about 6 days a week, either on the peloton or the treadmill. Most of the days I'm on the treadmill. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I'd be doing 5K's but here I am. I'm not knocking them outta the park yet, but I'm improving.
One thing I love about ifit is the little bits of education about fitness and tips i get along the way. The tips aren't shoved down your throat but they're just given as the coach talks along. I love going to different countries and learning about the culture and history as I walk/hike.
Then ifit came out with magnets when you complete challenges and I don't know what it is about that, but I'm all in.
Then there's a medal if you complete 5K's so yeah. I'm on my treadmill most days.
If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer!

Ok so I have an iFit question now as well!
DH plans to get a real bicycle for when all the snow is gone. But he likes the idea of an indoor one with a program he can ride somewhere other than here - around the world, see the scenery. From what I can tell, part of iFit is a Google maps selection that lets you do this. Is it self-guided? He doesn't have to follow an instructor?
He's not a fan of the monthly fee - but I'd totally pay it myself to have access to both treadmill & cycle options for sure. My treadmill is iFit capable, just no idea how to work it out.
THanks!

You can do your own via Google maps - I mapped out Disneyland once, but it isn't as fun as the trainer led rides. All of the rides for the most part are trainer led and their trainers are FANTASTIC!!!

From what I read the google maps is go on your own through iFit - but do the trainer led ones have a trainer in the way of the scenery? Or just the voice?

I love iFit! They have a good variety of workouts at varying fitness levels. I bought a Proform treadmill in May 2020. The only available treadmill that wasn't backordered 6 months was the 2000. I love it, but wish it had a bigger screen. I just bought a bike (Studio 22) and love the big screen! The workouts are great no matter what size screen, but the bigger screen is definitely worth the extra cost!

It's like you're actually there with the trainer riding - It's AWESOME! I can't even remember how I did the Google map thing, but it was easy! I'll look at it tomorrow

I'll look at it tomorrow We chatted last night about the bike idea and the iFit. We compared NordicTrack & ProForm - the ones available for order in Canada directly and are leaning towards NordicTrack S22. They were both the same size, but NordicTrack (more $$) had a few more options the other didn't offer (built in fan, electronic incline/decline, easier seat adjustment) so it wins out. Especially since we would both be using it. In researching, I did see they both come with Google Maps app - so I'm assuming you can plunk yourself anywhere with it and start riding. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a sale!

Just a warmish to cool breeze. You are probably going to have to buy a fan off of amazon or something still. But I know you said there were other features you might like, but don't base it all on the built in fan, because it's not going to cool you down (if it's anything like my treadmill fan, that is.) HTH

HTH We have a Horizon treadmill that has the built in fan - it doesn't blow my hair like Celine Dion either, but definitely a bonus when I'm walking or running. It does make a difference for me That wasn't the biggest pull - we liked the easier adjustable seat and definitely the electronic incline/decline is a big factor as well. But thanks for the help!!
