Man....I had a 9x13 pampered chef stoneware crack (it was over 20 years old, one of mine from when I sold before DS was born). So I was browsing Le Crueset and saw a sale on a set of 2 pans. NOT their cast iron, just ceramic. Affordable.
So they came today. Gorgeous!
And accompanying them? A 25% off code that expires February 24th lo.
Damn damn damn.....

Welcome to the dark side. I have my eye on a couple of pieces in the new Agave they sell at Williams Sonoma. Do I need any of it? No, but it's soooo pretty!

I got a Le Creuset dutch oven as a wedding gift many moons ago. The enamel coating shattered on it. I might have been using it wrong, though (I was young and dumb)

I use my Le Creuset dutch oven probably 4 times a week. It's the most used cooking utensil in my house. I honestly don't know what I'd do without it.

I had no idea what that was so looked it up. I have never bought an expensive pot or pan because I bhate to cook and burn everything! Haha! What makes them worth so much money? Am I missing something? Does it make cooking easier?

can you use the coupon at the outlet? that's where I got my dutch ovens (yes I have 2 - and they both get used ALOT!). I love my Le Creuset ceramic stuff too
but question for others - I have a heck of a time cleaning the black gunk (usually grease) off of the grooves on the handles. Tips?

Am I missing something? Does it make cooking easier? For me, it’s the most even cooking. It heats evenly, holds heat, and is well, magical. I prefer to cook “longer cooking” dishes in them, and it just retains heat so perfectly and never has a hot spot or anything. The lid is also heavy and creates a great seal if needed.

I was just looking at our business credit card points, was looking for a blender, and there is a 5.3L Le Creuset dutch oven I could get. I've thought of getting one before. Hmmm, you enablers. I love my stone baking sheet for even heating and holding the heat. So a good dutch oven is tempting. Especially since I could use my points and not pay the Canadian price.

I went to the outlet at Grove City, not sure if there's one at the Oakville outlet mall or not. I know there isn't one in Niagara

QVC has a dark teal that looks similar to Azure and when they have a daily special on le creuset it’s generally a really good deal.

I have a 7 1/4 qt for batch cooking and a 3.5 qt for smaller meals. I used them this week several times. I also have a rectangular baker that gets used quite often.

Can I ask what kinds of things you’re making if you use it that often? In my head it’s for stews and longer cooking things like pot roast. I’m so wanting to justify the cost! Lol

I would love to have some. I am just to cheap to pay the price. I have a Tramontina dutch oven that I love and use several times a week, especially in the winter. Walmart. $75. I know the LeCreuset quality is better, but I am just not ready for $300 better.

Lol Well, I do make a lot of stews and soups, but, for example, just last night made orzo and shrimp scampi in it. I’ll make taco meat in it; pasta sauce; tikka masala; your basic dump dinners - pretty much anything I would make in a skillet (nothing fried or sautéed obviously) I’ll make it in it. It’s so easy to clean; can go from stovetop to oven. The only downside is if I have it very full of something (like a ribollita I made on Christmas Eve) it’s heavy to move from the stove top to the oven.

Lol I know I wasn't tagged but hope you don't mind me answering. I have 4 LC pieces (5.5 qt DO, 3.5 qt braiser, 2.75 DO, and a sauteuse. I use various sizes depending on what I am cooking. Soups Stew Stock Braised chicken Stir fry Roasted whole chicken Roasted turkey breast Roasted vegetables Nacho sauce From scratch pudding Meatballs simmered in a sauce Sauce that I need cook over heat/thicken Roasted vegetables Braised vegetables Risotto Quick bread (don't do this) Gravy made from pan drippings Deep frying (don't do this) I don't use mine several times a week, usually 1-2. Every so often 3. It is an investment but worth it. I had a Martha Stewart DO and a Jiada DL DO and braiser and they sucked. Didnt last long, food stuck, enamel chipped, MS one cracked. Also way heavier. My 5.5 qt DO is 5 years old now or around there are still like the day I got it.

I have a 5-qt. oval LC dutch oven that I use for soups, jambalaya, stews...etc. I've had it about 15 years and it's still wonderful. I have a chipped Rachael Ray 3.5 quart dutch oven I'd like to replace but I'm also in love with the 3.5 quart LC Brassiere. My wish list keeps getting longer!

Our first dutch oven was a LC. It was a gift from my in laws, and we had it for many years.
After my husband accidentally destroyed it by burning a batch of sauerkraut (don't ask), we needed another one, but really didn't want to pay the high price of a LC.
We now own three dutch ovens. One from IKEA, one from Aldi, and one that I got at the local grocery store on a clearance deal. It looks exactly like our LC one , but was the fraction of the price ($20) They all work great. I use them for bread baking, and my husband uses them to cook meat.

I bought a 4.5 qt last summer from the outlet store. I’ve been using that at least once a week. When I tried a couple weeks ago to put a very small whole chicken and some veggies in it, it didn’t fit. So a few days ago, my second one arrived. An 8 qt oval one. Haven’t used it yet.
