My indoor project this year is to repaint all my white baseboards, crown molding, door frames, and doors.
In our old house, I could do a room at a time because nothing was connected. In our new house, the baseboards on the first floor are continuous around the entire house. This house is newish, but I don't think the trim has ever been repainted since it was built. What I thought was white looks absolutely dingy next to what I've already painted. We pulled up all the old carpet and floors and replaced the entire house with LVP when we moved in and the baseboards looked sad. It's going to be a super satisfying project. I can't stop looking at the parts I've already painted.
This house is SMALL, but it'll probably take me several of the next weekends. But I do something big in winter because I know once the weather is nicer I don't want to be inside.
I'm doing some doors today and am more excited than I should be for a painting project.
Anyway, I didn't realize there were so many choices for white trim. I was not in the mood to overthink it yesterday because I just wanted to get started, so I chose plain old ultra white in satin. And then my friend told me she spent months going back and forth over her white and her finish.
What do you have on your trim?

I have the same, a clean, bright white in satin. I have a really small house and I like it.

I don't have my beautiful house anymore but we used Benjamin Moore White Dove. It's not a bright crisp white which is what I wanted.
You have quite the project ahead! It'll be so nice & fresh when you're done!

Right now my house has mostly all white trim. Although in some rooms the former owners painted the crown molding white white in other rooms they painted it the wall color. But when we repaint, they will all be white. We'll probably go with eggshell because there are a lot of cosmetic surface issues that eventually need to be contended with that we are not dealing with now, so we feel satin would make those a bit more apparent.
In our last house the trim was all a medium stained wood.

Ours is white. It was all repainted right before we bought it 5 years ago. I think it still looks good. I do want to repaint some of the walls, though.

I have all white trim and ceilings in my house. My hallway is also white. But other than that, all my rooms have color.

I use the Lowes white that is already mixed, called something like bright white or similar but I don't have to worry about matching it if I need to buy more since it is their "standard" white. My trim/baseboards are painted in the highest sheen they have but if I had it to do over (which I WON'T!!) I would go down a notch to satin or whatever is just below the shiniest.
Our house all had stained (light stained) wood so it was a project to do-sand, degreaser, sand, prime, two coats of paint--but it really pops against our darker walls.

I am in the middle of major renovations right now so that I can put my house on the market in the Spring and downsize to a condo ... I'm currently living in reno Hell My house was built in 1988 and was wall to wall oak (cabinets, drawers, panel above the fireplace, banisters) ... it is all white now ... looks awesome! Ex actually did the baseboards, trim and doors himself and they are so much nicer now that they are white We used Benjamin Moore White Dove as well ... it's soft ...

Yes I repainted the baseboards when I moved in and we had them off while we changed the flooring and painted the walls. I love the darker floor, light grey walls and white trim.

All white trim here, and in our living and dining area we also have crown molding on the ceiling. We recently repainted all of our bedrooms and home office and repainted all of the baseboard white.

I have Benjamin Moore Mascarpone - a slightly warm white that does not actually look warm on the trim, just avoids a too chalky or glaring “white white.” I used 3-4 whites for clients' trim.

We have white trim thoughout. It's not the blinding white but I don't recall the color.
I am not a fan of stained trim at all. When I see listings of homes with stained trim, I get turned off. For some reason it doesn't look as clean and modern as white trim.

Same here. Just built our house last year. All interior trim and doors are white in satin. Love it!

We built our house in 1999 and have all white trim. I have repainted it several times over the years. It's always amazing how fresh paint makes it pop. I use Sherwin Williams Dover White.

Our trim and doors are Sherwin Williams Extra White. Our house is small and needs the brightness it provides.

All our doors, trim and molding are Swiss coffee which is pretty common around here so makes it easy for painters to come in and match.

White Dove here, too. I have Accessible Beige in half strength on my walls, and dark oak floors (existing). It’s very classic and easy to work with.

I have white trim but the painter chose it. It's a brighter white than I had before and I love it.

Sherwin Williams Alabaster here. Have used it in my last 3 places. White whites, extra white, etc are just too much for me. Soft whites for the win 😉
