We are from the midwest so I know what my Costco sells. One odd thing is whole lambs that are marked Halal. I have never see them at any other Costco, even ones 10 miles away.
Last week we were in Florida and the Costco had dried watermelon. It cracked my son up, he thinks it should be called melon.

I would bet that Halal meats are sold at many Costco locations. It isnt something I look for, so I dont know if mine does.

One odd thing is whole lambs that are marked Halal. DH would love if our Costco carried this! He has to special order from a butcher when looking for a whole lamb. When in a Vancouver Costco last summer, I was happily surprised to see 5 or 6 varieties of feta cheese slabs in 5 lb tubs. In San Diego it is usually just the one option of crumbled feta.

Wowza The Palm Desert Costco cracks me up 🤣 Apparently they have the highest liquor sales of all the US stores. You can buy a casket, an Escalade golf cart, and a $400,000 diamond all in one trip. One stop shopping! Also, if you’re really lucky you could witness a physical altercation between seniors. Several years ago one lady from my parents’ golf club accused another lady of cheating in a tournament. They ran into each other at Costco and one slapped the other across the face in the store. 😳😳😳

Not Costco related but when a big retirement community was built nearby about 10 years ago, a new funeral home went up very quickly next door.

Our business Costco has whole lambs, goats and ducks. I can’t think of anything too weird that our regular Costco sells. I do wonder if anyone ever actually buys the diamond jewelry that they sometimes advertise that is priced at tens of thousands of dollars.

That must be in Maryland! It isn’t, actually. Other coast. But I’ve never seen the other Costcos in my state carry them.

When my auntie was dying of cancer, she planned her entire memorial and then, picked up the phone and ordered her own casket from Costco! It was so crazy.

We also get things like large bags of dried squid (Asian snack). Ours also carries huge $100+ boxes of fireworks for Diwali.

Not at Costco, but at my very small local grocery store in a rural area I saw fresh frog legs in the meat department over Christmas. Is there some kind of traditional holiday frog leg thing I don't know about?

Is there some kind of traditional holiday frog leg thing I don't know about? Our Stater Bros carries them at the meat counter. Not sure if they are seasonal but I know I have seen them.

Our Costco is completely boring.... like most everything in Indiana 😬. Now if anyone wants to play a game of what can’t you buy at Menards that is a whole other thread!

Back when groceries started to appear my DH jokingly wanted to see just how long he could go without shopping anywhere else.

Our Menards is one stop shopping! When there is a dedicated “as seen on TV department” somewhere between the weed whackers and the toy aisles you know they have everything you could ever need!
