My dd19 has just finished isolation after testing positive. She got away really lightly. She tested because of a mild sore throat but really only had 1/2 day of coughing and sore neck muscles. Other than that the main irritant was that she wasn’t allowed to leave the house. She is double vexed. It's really crazy the wild differences in how it hits people. I'm glad your DD had such a mild case.

I'm not sure that I had the omicron variant, but I'll tell you how it was for me anyway. I did not have any runny nose or drainage issues (but my DD did- sick at the same time). I had a sore throat and I had a fever off and on for about a week, I had fatigue- as in NO energy for anything. I had terrible brain fog which along with the fatigue lasted over 2 weeks. I described it as feeling like I just did not give a crap about anything- just a very weird feeling. I still have the cough from it and it's been a month now. I guess that was my parting gift from covid. eta: I had two or three days where everything tasted salty. I did not lose my sense of taste and smell though.

DH( age 83) had first symptom on Jan. 15. Had fever that day, but none since then. Runny nose, feeling tired all the time. He slept both day and night on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Wed. got up feeling "normal" except for fatigue. He has felt malaise since then.
Cough: we don't know because he has a persistent cough from a childhood illness. We had the cough thoroughly examined in 2019. He quite smoking 17 years ago and I was very afraid it was lung cancer, but he dodged the bullet there.

Me: Delta back in October. No fever, congestion and lethargic. Lost my taste and smell at day 5, it didn't return until 6 weeks later. My sense of smell and taste is dulled since then. For instance, cilantro smells sour to me now. It tastes okay but the whiff of it I get makes me think its gone bad. Very strange. I can no longer smell the Plug ins I have in my house unless I'm close up. Its a bummer, I used to have a very keen sense of smell. Other than that, I'm good. I was double vaxxed at the time, but on the downward trend of it, I was due a month later for the booster.
DD 15: double vaxxed, caught Omicron right after NY. Bad cold symptoms, no fever, no loss of taste and smell. Fully recovered except for a slight cough.
DH: triple vaxxed, caught Omicron right after DD. Cold symptoms, no fever, no loss of taste and smell. He was getting much better but on day 7 he got a bad backache out of no where. We don't know what to make of it. He's back to work but he's really hurting. We are waiting to see if it passes. I'm a bit concerned but trying not to worry.

I had it over the new year, along with all of my family. We aren't sure where we picked it up and we aren't sure it was Omicron, but my guess is that it was. It was a little different for all of us—we are all vaccinated.
I started with a sore throat, had a fever of 103 for two days and just felt so tired and lethargic. Then I developed a cough and a stuffy nose. After about 8 days I lost my smell, but not my taste.
It has been 25 days and I am *almost* over the cough. It only shows up here and there now. I have my smell back, but now everything tastes metallic (my daughter is also experiencing that), and I just feel more tired than usual. I run out of steam pretty quickly.

We had a wide range of symptoms (all had it at the same time)
Ds11 (freshly vaxxed, 2nd shot barely 2 weeks prior): a single sniffle
Me (boosted about 6 weeks prior): felt like a cold for a few days. If I stayed up on the Sudafed every 4-6 hours and went to bed an hour or two early I could fully function. After a few days I was totally fine.
Dh (vaxxed, not booted): spent a week sleeping (or at least in bed) 16 hours a day. No fever but chills, night sweats, cough, congestion, aches, etc. Going on 3 weeks now and seems mostly better.

I had Covid in November 2020 (before a Vax was available) and the Omicron variant at the beginning of this year. I am fully vaccinated but not boosted.
I had a dry, hacking cough for a couple of weeks. The cough made it hard to rest, which worsened the crazy fatigue. I experienced awful fatigue for about a week before I got sick over the New Year. I'm barely now starting to feel my energy return.
No loss of smell, but I did have severe headaches, chills, nausea and dizziness for a week or so.
Overall, though, I think I experienced fairly mild Covid infections. I never needed more than a telemed appointment. I'm lucky.
If you feel like you're not improving, at least call your doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm glad your DD had such a mild case. It is crazy isn't it. She was really lucky with it. Most of her friends were similar. Only one who was exposed at work, which is where we figure dd got it also, was really impacted. Yet those at my work who have had it, said they were much sicker. There are 3 more of us currently living with dd. I have a 17 year old dd and there is DH and I. None of us have tested positive yet. DD17 is double vaxed and DH and I have had our boosters.

For those of you who have had Covid, especially the Omicron variant, can you tell me what your experience was with it? I'm on Day 12 (I'm both fully vaxxed and boosted) and I'm still coughing up a storm, have problems with plugged nose/post-nasal drip, and the fatigue is really starting to get old! I never had a fever or loss of taste/smell, and body aches have been minimal. What has it been like for you? I’ve had a bad cold, and my symptoms sound exactly like yours, but I tested negative for COVID. My doctor’s office followed up on test and says it sounds like COVID. The congestion is terrible, and the coughing started a few days later. That’s awful. Fatigue isn’t so bad now, but it’s been a week and I don’t feel like I’m getting better; I know I am, but it’s slow going.

Fever, body aches, fatigue, sore throat & headache, lasted about 3 1/2 days. Still carried on with my normal daily routine (laundry, cooking, etc). Not vaccinated.
