We're expecting blizzardaggedon starting early Saturday morning. Last I looked, we're in the 18-24" of snow expected with 50-60 mph winds. Yikes. Glad I did my grocery shopping a few days ago. I wouldn't want to be there today.
Anyone else in the path of this storm?

Yes ! We are too!
12-18” possible. 50-60 MPH winds. Starting late this evening through Saturday at 9 PM.
Actually it’s snowing right now! Everything all ready; snowblower, shovels, boots etc. Even all the snowstorm snacks are ready!
Stay safe !

I'm in Seattle, so mine is a lot better than those who live in the NE, that's for sure! Some areas look like they're really going to get slammed.
My son lives in NYC, his partner is out of state for the week. They moved this past fall into a place with lots of windows and when texting with him this morning, my son says "bring it on." He's looking forward to a quiet weekend on his own, catching up on work, while being warm inside what he calls his "snowglobe."
Good luck to everyone, and fingers crossed everyone keeps power and has all the supplies they need to get them through!

It just started snowing here, although we are expecting only about 3 inches of snow. I wish we were getting more. I like snow!
Last storm we got 9 inches of snow and it was so much fun.

I hit Market Basket on Wednesday so I don’t need to go anywhere near a grocery store today! Stay safe out there.

I'm used to hearing him talk about the hurricanes down in Louisiana, where my husband's family lives. I hit Market Basket on Wednesday too, and it was even crowded then!

Gorgeous weather for us this weekend. Highs in the 60's and sunny. It's a nice break because we've had multiple weekends now where the weather was cold, rainy and gloomy. We'll pay for it next week with rain and another big cold front. Stay safe and warm everyone! You know it’s bad when Jim Cantore shows up 😂. All too familiar with Jim Cantore! Didn't realize he followed blizzards as well as hurricanes though!

Thankfully it looks clear but cold this weekend. The sunshine we have right now is deceiving. The wind chill is 5 degrees but the sun's out with very little clouds.

Got some big ol flakes coming down right now, but nothing is sticking. I think we're expected to get an inch-ish.
I'll probably head out from work within the hour to pick up dry cleaning and a grocery pick-up. I have a mountain of laundry to do tonight, and knew I would not wanna shop and then go home to do laundry. However, if I don't do laundry, we will have 0 towels, so it's gotta get done.

Nor‘easter for a couple of days. First major snow we’ve had in 2-3 years and also first consistent snow cover in several years.
We have soup and wine and I am cozy sitting by the fire, listening to the wood crackle, working on an essay.

WTH is a BOMB CYCLONE? I saw that one is coming to Maine. Is the word blizzard just not scary enough anymore?

LOL, a bomb cyclone comes from a bombogenesis, which means a storm rapidly strengthening with the barometric pressure dropping precipitously. If the name doesn't give you a clue, it's really bad.

Unless it wobbles…just a dusting. North western Vermont is right on the fringe. It is supposedly going up the coast. Looks like Boston, and the NH and Maine coasts are going to be hammered.
Very very cold though. Below zero and double digits below zero with the wind chill.

Just a bit of snow for us, which is a relief, because we got slammed several weeks ago and still have big piles of snow everywhere.

Apparently we are expecting “falling iguanas”! According to internet memes, “The threshold for iguanas to maintain their body temperature, before they may start to fall out of trees is about 40'.” 😂😂

It's snowing here, but not much accumulation (a little on the grassy areas). Just feels raw. Supposed to be sunny and in the 20s tomorrow. My kids live in the northeast so they should be getting slammed by tomorrow.

I have yet to see any falling iguanas in person. However it is cold here in Tampa. Look, for us 65 IS cold, okay? That's the current temp in our suburb. We'll have a freeze warning tonight (30 degrees forecast) and it's only supposed to be 58 for a high tomorrow. Break out the heaters and the duvets! Yeah, we're total wussies, I know.

It is supposed to snow for about 3 hours this evening with maybe a half inch. Yet all our roads were salted again today. Walmart was packed with people. Typical response to a hint of snow. Cold tomorrow and Sunday.

I'm squarely in the middle of snowmageddon country - 18" to 28" and strong winds. There's a tiny chance of a second band of bad weather over my area that might bump those numbers over 30" We've got food, two generators and all the things to keep us good for the weekend. The snow is supposed to be lighter snow so right now we're not in the area expecting lots of power outages. Fingers crossed that it stays that way! Wishing all the NE peas the best possible outcome and power all weekend! Stay safe and warm!
