Can you believe that it is already the end of January?
Thought we should check in and see how everyone is doing with their resolutions and words of the year.
I'll start:
I didn't make resolutions per se, but my word for the year is "focus".
I wanted to work on focusing my attention on completing things on my to do list and finishing projects I start.
It's a daily struggle. I have had something on my to do list for the last three weeks and I keep pushing it even though it would take me less than an hour. I keep getting distracted with my phone and tablet and the Peas!
I also wanted to focus on myself and improving my health and physical well being. So far I am doing much better at that.
I started doing a yoga app in mid November. I kept it up through December.
At the beginning of the year instead of making a big resolution to loose x number of pounds or anything I decided just to write down a goal of wanting to do some type of exercise each day.
Yesterday was the first rest day I gave myself. I had worked out in some form for 32 days in a row so I am OK that I took a rest day.
I also had a goal of drinking 6 glasses of water a day (tea or soda do not count). I am not reaching that goal every day, but I am doing better than before, so that's OK too.
Best thing is that last week I went through my closet and tried on a bunch of things that were way too tight last fall and there were so many things that fit now. One dress I haven't been able to wear in years!
How has everyone done on their resolutions? Any successes to share?
How about words of the year? Is it still relevant for you? Do you still focus on it?
