I love that! I agree, too bad we can't teach humans not to toss them on the ground.

I love this one. I absolutely love crows. Had a wild one as a sort of pet once. He came several times a day for peanuts. One day he stopped coming and I knew something had happened to him. I still feel sad when I think of him

Maybe I should suggest this idea for staff at my school. We could throw rubbish around our cars to distract them! We are currently facing daily vandalism from crows attacking our cars in the carpark. They are pulling off rubber from our windscreen wipers- someone told my it cost them nearly $100 (AUSD) to fix them. Many of us have been wrapping the front and back wipers with material - however, yesterday when I had to leave early, I saw a really big crow attacking the material. I also noticed scratch like marks on my side mirrors- luckily they wiped off.
I think it must be mating season and they are being territorial.

Corinne that is insane! i can't even imagine. lately i've seen videos of crows that gather in hundreds in trees and make such loud noise that the neighbors can't get any sleep. i've seen people light fireworks every 30 minutes but they just return. i can't imagine living like that or getting my property vandalized by them like in your area.

At our previous house, there had to be 60 crows that gathered in one of the giant cotton trees. They chatted and yelled for hours. Every hour or so, they'd all jump up and do a big circle around the neighborhood and return to the tree. On one occasion last summer, they swooped down low while we sat on the deck and I got pelted by a giant crap. When they are right above you, they sound a bit like the Thunderbirds on a practice run.
