Good! I can't stand him! Why he doesn't want to keep children safe I don't understand. Maybe mandate the covid vaccine for kids at public schools, then consider dropping the mask mandate.

Not school related, but I enjoyed this encounter with constituents:
ETA I'm sure I read somewhere his kids' school had a mask mandate. Good enough for his kids, but not his constituents I guess.

Yes, his kids go to St. Alban's and the Cathedral School, in DC. Both have mask mandates, and both have a very well thought out racial awareness focus. Youngkin wants us here in Virginia to report "divisive" topics that our teachers are teaching, but he's okay with those same "divisive" things being taught at his kids' private schools. Typical hypocrite just like most of the Republican politicians are. eta: Now the question is, do his kids go to St. Alban's or to Georgetown Prep? lol. Off to do some more research. -- And, my other question is where does he actually live that his kids are going to school in DC? Unless it's a boarding school... eta again: the answer is all of the above. lol. Apparently his older kids have graduated from St. Alban's and the Cathedral School. Another currently attends Georgetown Prep. And at this moment all three have mandatory masks, and all three teach "divisive" subjects. -- His agenda is the usual hypocritical stupidity of Republicans who want one thing for themselves and then want to impose something else on other people. Because you know, personal choice and all that... But only if it applies to them.

Can it be that the Governor has one standard for his own kids, and another standard for everyone else’s kids? I’m shocked that Governor Fleece Vest is a canting hypocrite.

I probably shouldn’t comment on this thread I have a lot of opinions about your Governor, & schools in general for a state in don’t even live in. Most of my opinions are not even close to positive so I should probably keep them to myself. You know can’t say anything good don’t say anything at all. But here goes anyway.
Just a few things, from where I stand outside VA but visit from time to time: *VA has a a lot of awesome public school teachers. Really. Excellent teachers. *They are grossly underpaid as compared to other professions in VA in your immediate state economy *They have been mistreated, & maligned the last 2 years at best and pretty much abused at times. *Many are planning career changes, not renewing contracts.
So best of luck to your Governor and his pandering to special interest groups about masks and such he’s going to be looking at a real crisis in public education sometime soon. It’ll be interesting to see what he & his special interest groups ( aka yelling Karen’s who won’t do anything other than complain ) do with that when it happens.

Especially in the county we used to live in. Check out how things have been going the last few months in Spotsylvania County. MANY teachers have left in recent years bc pay is better in other counties. But the last few months have been horrible and I won't be surprised to see many more leave.
