Dumb question, but every now and again I would like to be able to multi-quote in a reply. I checked the admin and support board, and unless I missed it, there’s no thread there on how to do it.
Assuming I’m on a browser on either my laptop or iPad, could someone please tell me how would I do this?
Thanks so much!
ETA: To be more clear, how would I quote from 2+ different posts from 2+ different people into one reply?

Highlight what you want to quote and a button will pop up. Click on that and then the quote will be in the Quick Reply box at the bottom. Return to another section you want to quote and repeat. They will be underneath each other in the box at the bottom of the page. Hope that’s clear enough? 🤔

I post a thread and have multiple replies I’d like to reply to and quote. Rather than posting 3 replies in a row, how would I add additional quotes from different people into one reply?

MichyM another option is to click on the cog icon (or the down arrow beside it if you’re using desktop view) at the top left right of the comment then click on “select” then repeat for each comment, and then click reply - it will automatically include the comments you’ve selected, each with its own quote box. ETA: Sorry, forgot to mention that If you’re on a mobile device and not using desktop view then instead of hitting “reply” you need to click “quote” when you get to the last comment you want to include, then any other comments you’ve selected will automatically appear too.

By the way, if I turn into an obnoxious multi-quoter for the next week or so, I apologize in advance.

I pea on my Kindle and your instructions didn't make anything pop up. 👿 Maybe auntiepeas method will work? I got the posts selected, but then couldn't figure out what to do to make them appear in my quick reply. I decided to just quote you as usual, and BAM there were my selected posts! 😁

Can I piggy back on this quote post pls ? How do you *bold* part of a quote ? TIA. 😊 The only way Ive found to use from my phone is to click “quote” then, when it brings up the comment box for me with the quote included, I scroll down to the bottom of the page and then I click “desktop” view from the far right part of the blue strip. Then I just highlight the part of the quote I want and and click the bolded “B” button just under the “font face” box above the quoted comment. Hope this makes sense😊

I'm tired and have had a glass of wine so I don't understand any of what you all said. For now it's easier for me to make three separate posts if I have three people to quote.

Try again in the morning after coffee. If I can do it, anyone can. Trust me 😉

Thanks auntiepeas. I still can’t figure it out. But, thank you. Also, sorry to op for asking in her thread. I don’t typically bold from my phone due to fat fingers, but in the quote box on my phone, I can put [ b ] before the text and [ /b ] after the text I want bolded. Remove the space before and after each letter b.

Just the black copy, translate and lookup tabs appeared. I tried it on an iPad, so maybe that is the problem?

Copy the text and paste it?

Thanks for asking because I’ve been doing multi quotes for years in a horribly roundabout backwards way! This way is SO much simpler!
On a related note, does anyone know if this works if the posts are on different pages of the thread? I’ve never been able to figure out how to multi quote when the posts I want to quote are on multiple pages.

I’ve never been able to figure out how to multi quote when the posts I want to quote are on multiple pages. I’ve just tested and it does but you have to be on the desktop version of the board. If you’re on a mobile device (ie, a phone/ipad etc) you can switch to the desktop version by scrolling all the way down to the blue border with white words in it (Back, Top, Dashboard, Desktop) at the bottom of your screen and clicking on the word “Desktop” at the far right.
