I signed up Wednesday, and I already have $22 in my account. LOVE this! I am sending referrals too. Now I am crying looking at all of the stores and the $$ I have lost because every store I use online is there! Gosh even McAfee and Malwarebytes!

Okay, I know I can look this up (and probably will) but what is ebates? Basically you sign up and you get cash back for online shopping. Most major stores are on there and you can use all your coupons codes just like normal, but it ends up being another 3 - 10% back depending on the store. They pay you once a quarter. You can choose to get a check in the mail. (Has to be over $5.) If you have less than $5 in rebates that money just rolls into the next quarter.

I don't think I did it right earlier this week. I went through the site to Nike's site to order. At first I didn't understand, I kept seeing a pop-up with numbers that disappeared so quickly I couldn't get the code. After the 15th time I finally realized the pop-up said it was an automatic thing and no code was needed. So I placed the order on Tuesday and don't see anything pending in my account.

Go to my account, and click on cash back activity.... all your open shopping trips will be there. Some orders take longer to register than others, however, if you get your order and still haven't seen the $$$ added to your account, you can go to "Help" and the click on "Where is my cash back?" and then follow those steps. It will want the order information from the confirmation email that the retailer sent you when you placed you order. It will ask you to cut and paste that info from the email. On the rare occasion that I've had to ask them for my $$$, almost immediately after I've followed the above steps it was added to my account.

The links you post are referral links. How much do you get each time someone signs up after clicking on your links?

The links you post are referral links. How much do you get each time someone signs up after clicking on your links? It's easy! We give you a $5 bonus for each friend that you refer to Ebates who make a qualifying purchase. In addition to the $5 bonus, we will give you an extra bonus for the first 3 friends referred from October 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014. I love ebates - they pay out quarterly so what you buy now you won't receive the rebate until 2/15 - though my last one came a week or two early.

The cash back percentages are really good right now but they aren't always that way. You will definitely earn more during the holiday shopping season but not as much the rest of the year. I love that Amazon is one that offers cash back but again they offer the best options during the holidays.

The links you post are referral links. How much do you get each time someone signs up after clicking on your links? Click on "tell a friend" and then "see details" and it is all listed right there. Well, just FYI from the ProBoards TOU 3: Signatures and Advertising 1) Personal banners and signature areas (in the event of text) should, whenever possible, be kept under the size of 500 x 300 (width: 500 pixels, height: 300 pixels). Please follow this guideline and consider those with a smaller screen resolution when adding an image to your signature. Should the size of the signature exceed that, you might be asked to change or remove it. 2) Logical size of the signature should not exceed 300KB. 3) When signing your post, please don't do it as a link, you have plenty of space in your signature area and in your profile for links. 4) Avatars should be kept under 75KB in logical size. Click here for a useful screen ruler 5) Out of consideration to those with epilepsy, excessively flashing avatars and signatures are not allowed. 6) Do not post affiliate links here. They are unwelcome and you will receive a warning for posting them.
7) General advertising is not allowed anywhere on the forum, with the obvious exception of the advertising board, where you can advertise your ProBoard forum exclusively. 8) Do not use banners that display IP's, while they seem to be a novelty, we don't know what the banner hosts do with the information they collect.

Thank you Ingrid. I had no idea, especially since I see all kinds of helpful links, including affiliate links all the time on this site. I receive at least $25 back per quarter on shopping that I do anyway, and thought I'd spread the word. (free $$$ in my book) I was so excited a few years ago when my friend referred me to this site. bc there are quite a few things that I always buy online instead of visiting the store. I totally understand if you don't want to save money... (actually I don't, but that would be an entirely different thread.) Anyway, hope you enjoy your holiday season!

You too, Trollie! And I'm really not trying to be a jerk. To top it all off, I quoted the wrong part. I meant to quote a blurb about misrepresenting affiliation with another entity. I use Ebates religiously and wind up with a decent chunk of money with all of the online shopping I do. Love it. But it grinds my gears a little when people (and not just you) post these "helpful" ideas or suggestions about saving money or a great new product or website and don't bother to let anyone know that they are benefiting financially (or however) from the clicks or sign-ups through the links they post. While I guess it isn't hurting anyone, it seems like the honest thing to do is to let people know the real reason behind a link in your signature or post. I've always appreciated it when members of the community let us know we're clicking on a referral link and are honest about the fact that it benefits them in some way, but that they understand if we want to sign up through a friend that has their own affiliate link instead. Nothing personal at all, truly. I just think being a little transparent is the decent thing to do if you're trying to profit from suggestions you're giving to other people. ETA, I guess I didn't fully digest this little barb. That's not at all what this is about, and I think you know that. Sometimes it's hard to resist the urge to defend yourself by acting like the person questioning your actions is some kind of idiot, I suppose.

ETA, I guess I didn't fully digest this little barb. Not a barb. I was just kidding around. Truly. Ebates has truly saved me a lot of money. Last year around this time, I was bummed out bc I placed a $200+ Target order and forgot to go through Ebates first. I would have saved an extra $10!! Not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, but every little bit adds up. I added that my link is an affiliate link in the OP, and invited others to add their links too. Have an awesome day!
