Ladies... I am looking for a kitchen countertop soap dispenser. I have one that has a sensor on it. It's not working anymore. I can't figure out what the issue is.
So....does anyone have a countertop dispenser that will work? It can be a pump dispenser.
Thanks!

I assume you've tried fresh batteries, but have you tried locating & cleaning the sensor that detects your hands? It could have become coated with kitchen grubbiness, maybe?

I've had that happen, too. Frustrating. I figured it was useless anyway if I couldn't get it working, so I took a straight pin (like you use for sewing), inserted it into the dispensing hole, & moved it in circles. It cleared up the issue. Maybe the soap congealed in there? Anyway, I figured I had nothing to lose at that point. Good luck!

I love my Simple Human soap dispensers. Two are around 10 years old (one rechargeable and one-battery operated) and still working fine. Another (battery-operated) stopped working after 5 years -- it would not pump soap. But I still love them and recommend the brand.
Costco has a twin-pack of the rechargeable Simple Human (brushed-metal finish) soap dispensers. Occasionally Costco offers $10 off this set.

Or just keep trying to find hot water through it. I use a foam soap with a manual pump dispenser and I need to clean the nozzle out about 3/4 of the way through a bottle. I would imagine that it’s similar for a mechanical pumps as well.

I have used a pin to unclog all different kinds of pump soap dispensers. You can even let it soak in hot water to start it moving. I have taken the whole pump part apart to clean them.
Psst... BBW foam soap can be diluted half/half with water.

I have brushed nickel fixtures in my remodeled main bathroom. They are a pain in the ass. You have to polish them like silver. I'd never get that again.
