I'm planning to go shopping in Kansas City over spring break to find a dress for my son's wedding. My price range is probably up to $200. Where are some good places that I should look for my dress? Thanks!

Formal? One of my DDs was married two summers ago. I wanted a short dress and found a nice one at Dillards. |

I don't have good suggestions of shops for you, but I bought an outfit to wear for a wedding last summer from eshakti.com and was incredibly pleased with the results! They customize to your exact measurements and preferences - like you can make a sleeveless dress into a 3/4 sleeve or switch knee length to full. I got my item a bit faster even than promised, and it fit perfectly. If the colors/styles don't grab you right now, check back in a few weeks, as they seem to add new items pretty often. I love Von Maur for that kind of thing and I looked it up to see if there is one in KS, looks like they do have them. (Dept store with a good selection of those types of dresses)

There is also a bridal type store at Oak Park Mall, along with Dillards and Macy’s, in Overland Park.
Savy Bridal in KCMO is popular.

I’m not in Kansas but had trouble finding a dress for my sons wedding. I found mine on Amazon. I took my measurements to be sure I was ordering the right size.

Ok, I was just at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park KS and Dillards and Macy’s had lots and lots of dressier dresses. The name of the bridal shop in the mall is Camille’s (I think). I’m waiting for my sister to call me and tell me where she got her dress for her son’s wedding. It was gorgeous. S |
