Our bathroom renovation is just about done, and I need new towels. The old ones are threadbare, and my pretty new bath deserves something nice. I've always bought them at HomeGoods, but then you can never count on seeing them again. Excuse the lousy photos. Just wanted to show the colors. Soft fern is the wall color. What color towels would you use?

I would go for colors in your tile and countertop. So white, gray, ivory.
As for brand, I'm not picky. I picked up a bunch of towels at Meijer when we updated our bathroom a few years ago. They're nothing special but so far, they're still in stock there.

I started looking for towels last fall and no place had more than 2 of various sizes in a color I liked in stock. I tried for months to at least order 5 of something and was unsuccessful.
My local Walmart, Target and Kohls have had almost nothing in stock since the pandemic started.
Let us know if you find anything.

Your bathroom looks great! I'll be watching this thread as I need new towels too.

Thanks! I'm so happy with it. DH can now shower upstairs in our bathroom - previously it was a fall risk. Now he's got the space, a shower bench, grab bars, and a non-slippery floor.
I hadn't even thought about towel shortages - yikes.

That's a really nice bathroom. I think my faves are the Ralph Lauren big, fluffy towels at my bff's house. Such luxury!

I read a NY Times review of Frontgate Resort towels and decided to splurge. I ordered white with a classic light grey monogram (which was free). They are soft and luxurious and make me feel special!

Beautiful renovation!
My favorite towels are bath sheets from IKEA! However, IKEA is about two hours away from me and I haven't been there since before the pandemic started. The ones I have are probably 10 years old and are starting to look worn, so I may have to take a road trip soon.

I like Costco towels and bath mats. Don’t use fabric softener on new towels as they then don’t absorb as well. If buying a bath mat with foam inside do not wash in new front loading machines as the foam can plug up the machine.

Looks great!
I would match the towels to the wall color. We have pottery barn towels and I really like them. Perfect size and thickness.

I prefer bath sheets, I only buy them, hand towels & facecloths and all in white. I found that colored towels fade, and at different rates, leaving me a motley set.

Huge, huge fan of Turkish towels. The dry so fast, zero musty smells, better for environment and get softer with time.
I’ve purchased from: Olive & Linen The Loomia
Quality has been excellent. I’ve tried Turkish towels from Amazon, Zulily and Home Goods. They were not good.
If I did regular terry cloth, I would only buy white towels so they can be bleached.

I’m looking for towels as well. We just have mismatched towels but it seems many are looking really bad lately. I would love some towels that have are easy to hang. Target has some hand towels that have a loop sewn on but I haven’t checked to see if the bath towels have it. I do like threshold hand towels from target. I glanced in the section a few times in the last month and it seemed well stocked.

I wash my towels often, so they get so rough. I stopped buying expensive towels and buy cheap target towels so I can replace them often. I love soft towels! We use the old towels for our dog or donate them to animal shelter.

I'm a towel snob and have ordered on line and bought high-end towels... but my favorite are still the Better Homes & Gardens line at Walmart! They are soft, thick (but not too thick) and wash/dry really well.
ETA: Beautiful bathroom!!

Love your new bathroom. 😊
I’m really not much help as to the brand of towels. But, I do prefer all white towels.

I have been struggling with the bath remodel towel match issue times five. Every bathroom is painted white. All white tile and three white vanities except one is medium brown, mostly white and one wall of light grey beige tile and dark brown vanity, in another and the last is white with teal accent tile and a teal vanity.
I used white towels in a few, somewhat matched the grey beige with similar color and the teal is a real puzzle. Probably have to go with white or tan since it is impossible to match to the vanity or accent tile. Bought and returned three sets of teal towels before I gave up. Really stumped on the mats.
With your colors, I would go with a tan or white.

If you could find a green that matches or tones well, I’d probably go with that.

I have always dreamed of having a linen closet full of fluffy white towels. LOL Sadly, the people in my house and the way they do laundry is not conducive to that.

I always buy my towels at Costco. They are thick and last FOREVER. Not sure if they still carry the same ones though. Charisma Luxury towels is what the tag says.

Beautiful bathroom!
I need to find "nice" washcloths that don't have a stiff folded edge or a woven stripe on one end. I just want a terry washcloth that's the same all the way around with no edging or anything.
