Stop with the mood swings! Just. Stop.
One week ago today it was 80 degrees and now you are giving us a wintery mix. B*tch.
Just last Friday I was tending my flower beds and excited to see how my bulbs were coming up and how big they were getting.
My pansies from November have survived all winter, including 2, yes two, ice storms. I hope they are hardy enough to withstand this crap you are giving us.
My sinuses would also appreciate not doing the warm cold warm hot cool freaking cold swings.
Sincerely, A Southerner who is over winter and wants to enjoy spring before the hell fire known as summer arrives

LOL, I hear you! And I'm not as far south as you, but I'm very sick of these extreme temperature & weather swings!

Yeah, we had 70 degrees in northwestern Illinois the other day - and got snow yesterday. Tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 28 and then it doubles to a high of 56 on Sunday.
I thought about taking my winter coat out of the car (I rarely wear it but have it in the car in case I need it) but figured I’d jinx any chances of not needing it if I did.

So it was 66 degrees here today. Tomorrow will be in the teens with snow. Go figure.
And the worst part is, I had awesome plans for the weekend!
My alumni band group was going to march in the Pittsburgh St. Patty's Day Parade tomorrow. I was so excited to catch up with old friends. My knees are too shot to march in the parade, but I was going to ride in a decorated truck with some other old farts and throw candy. I had hotel reservations with our group for tonight and tomorrow, and DH and I were going to make a weekend out of it. We were going to start with the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show today, followed by dinner with the gang tonight and probably some good old-fashioned bar-hopping. After the parade tomorrow, we were going to hit the Strip District for shopping (Penzeys, here I come!) and another dinner with the gang that evening. Then we would get up Sunday morning for a final meal with friends before heading home. Oh, and Sunday is my birthday, so DH and I were going to be celebrating that this weekend as well.
Once we heard about the weather, our members started cancelling their participation in the parade left and right. And honestly, I get it. My knees cannot take those low temperatures, even if I'm just sitting in the back of a pick-up truck. So I also cancelled my hotel reservation and decided to skip the parade. I think they are still going to do the truck tomorrow with some of our board members on the back throwing candy.
DH and I did drive up for the home show today, and we had a good time. However, between the home show and a trip to Costco, my knees were really complaining, so we came back home where I promptly fell asleep.
I would have made a great bear. I think I have this "hibernate during cold weather" thing down pat!

We had a crazy few weeks. One week was record heat - 90+ and then the following week we had rain/frost/hail/snow. We seem to have stabilized for now, but the nights are still cold, in the 40's. That is cold for us.

I saw something on Twitter about taking the temps of the past week and making those our lotto numbers. Makes as much sense as anything else! Mother Nature is crazy.

We had F4 tornadoes in the area last Saturday night and then 5 inches of snow Sunday night...make up your mind. This week should be very nice with 50s & 60s. It's been a long time since Spring Break week has been this nice for more than one day.
