From the Washington Post: "Herschel Walker, the leading candidate for the Republican Senate nomination in Georgia, questioned evolution at an event over the weekend, asking why apes still exist if humans have evolved from them."
That football doesn't run up and down the field on brain power.

I’ve no idea who he is (beyond what you wrote) but 🤔🤫🙄 Sorry, I forgot I'm up early with the late night British crowd. He's the leading Republican candidate for the US Senate from Georgia. He was one of the greatest college football players of all time, who went to University of Georgia.

He was one of the greatest college football players of all time, who went to University of Georgia. Most professional football players have suffered multiple traumatic brain injuries in the form of concussions over the course of their football careers. Who knows if his idiotic inability to grasp basic evolution at the level a 6th grader can is due to inherent stupidity or those brain injuries. Either way, he has no business running for political office. Bet Georgia votes him in simply due to his football career.

To me, it is a joke that he is running, he was a big star in Georgia for many years when he played for UGA (Heisman Trophy winner) and he is beloved in Georgia. He has lived in Dallas, TX for the past 10-15 years and takes the homestead exemption - which means, it is his primary residence. Apparently, as long as he is living in GA at the time of the election, it is considered valid for him to run in the state. Sadly, because of his fan base, he may have a pretty good chance. I have a co-worker that said she and her husband would vote for him. I ask her, what is his political platform...she said "I don't know but he was one hell of a football player"

Football and religious-based ignorance (creationism)?!?!?
They'll vote him in without a thought (literally).

If the people in Georgia are stupid enough to vote in marge green, they are stupid enough to vote in this ignorant football player.
