OMG I love it. If it was just me, and I was younger, I would have loved that! Or, me in about 10 years...I can totally picture it. I'd make the bed a single, and give a little more open space.

I saw that! It was sold just a few years ago for half that price. The lot isn't even that nice. And the water trough "pool"? Yikes!

Hahahahahaha! Crazy! I can't imagine paying that price for basically a small room.

There is no kitchen, no counter space at all - it’s basically a hotel room. And those cowboy tubs always seem horribly uncomfortable.

Cute.. but it's not even on the beach.. heck it isn't even walking distance to the beach.. and that "Pool" I can't imagine how hot that thing would be in the summer at 90 degrees.. Cute idea way overpriced in my opinion. I am not even sure what you are getting for a million dollar price tag other than a glorified (although cute) room. 196 sq feet?

Where are your clothes or any other belongings supposed to go? There is no storage. This is way too small!

At first I thought surely this is the guest house and there must be a beautiful, large house somewhere!
Nope!

That's a big, fat nope for me. There isn't even a shower, just a tub. And no storage. And it's not even on the beach. They can keep it.

I can't figure out why so much room was devoted to the bathroom.

And the water trough "pool"? Yikes! Ha ha! We had an 8' round by 36" high cow tank for a pool growing up! It was great! The metal does get really hot. I kind of love the beach house-but only for a night or two. That price tag is insane!

Looks like something decorated for a magazine - super cute, but not very practical. Reminds me of my aunt's casita (guest house)

I’m not sure that a 5-8? minute walk to the beach counts as being on the beach.

No way could I live in that. I need a kitchen counter. And I’d want a shower instead of that tiny tub. I am 5’11…much too tall for that thing!

I thought for that price it was going to be right on the beach.

I'm assuming this is being marketed to someone who will then keep it constantly rented out as a cute little vacation rental. Because I imagine that's about how long most people will continue to view it as cute, before they start veering into feeling like it's impractical---just long enough for a little vacation or even a weekend stay.
I know people do live full time in tiny houses of this size, but those typically put the bed up in a loft, so you have a lot more storage and living area on the main floor, and they have more functional kitchen spaces. So I really think this one will be more for Airbnb type use.
I will say however, that I covet that kitchen sink!! There used to be one of those in my house, but alas it's long gone now.

I just showed this house to my DS commenting how it isn’t exactly beach-side. He pointed out that it probably will be in 25 years. 😉

The realtor and I have different definitions of “steps away from the beach”.

Someone posted this on another thread and one comment was that this is a highly desirable area (30A) in FL. That is true but we have been looking for an investment property in that area and this is EXTREME even for 30A.

So the bedroom and the kitchen are all in one room? Big no, thanks. Even at half price.

I don't think this intended to be a residence, just a short-term rental. The listing says it's a quarter-acre lot that can have more structures. I'm guessing the price is based on potential rental income, not typical single-family home valuations. Cute.. but it's not even on the beach.. heck it isn't even walking distance to the beach.. It's a quarter-mile to the beach, that seems pretty darn walkable.

I don't get why the "house" is so small when it's on a quarter acre block? That's just a bedroom with an en-suite. The listing says there is room for additional dwellings, so even if they wanted a tiny house, they could still have done a small lounge kitchen area added on to that bedroom. It's cute, but one night in that would be enough of a novelty for me...and I'd want a proper shower and not that little bathtub, how do you even wash your hair in that? Is that little outside addon the shower? Yeah, I'm not going outside at night to shower in the dark.

I love small living, but... that place is too small and extremely overpriced.
I love the shutter doors.

Wow, even the one bedroom apartment I lived in when I was 19 was four times more finished square footage than that! The closets in my current house add up to more square footage than that.
