I found an outdoor clock/thermometer I'd like to get. The only place we have to hang it is on outdoor siding inside a screened porch. The clock and siding would never get wet. I'm in SE TN so the weather isn't super cold, although the past couple of days have been cold.
I just wonder if the hooks would work on siding.

I think the outdoor version of Command Hooks would be fine.

I think the outdoor version of Command Hooks would be fine. I didn't know there was such a thing. I had tried to stick a wireless doorbell to our siding with regular command strips and it fell off.

‘Damage free vinyl siding hooks’….try looking on Amazon for these. I couldn’t link it. I bought some for Christmas next year, so I haven’t used them but they got good ratings

I live in Nebraska and used outdoor command hooks to hang Christmas lights. That’s a swing between -0 and 100+ over several years. They were not even close to coming off when I removed them.

I don't have great luck with the Command hooks on my outdoor vinyl siding. I have tried to use them for hanging wreaths, and they don't last too long. It might be the weight of the wreath, but they are not super heavy ones, and I have tried using more than one hook, to take the load better. I have tried in both the front of my house - which is open to the elements, and on my porch which is more sheltered. Neither spot worked for wreaths. I have used the small hooks to put mini LED lights around the inside of porch and those did work fine. I found these siding hooks and have used them for years with great luck. You slip the clip into the siding seam - where a section is. *oof -- sorry for image size. You can find them on Amazon: Vinyl Siding Hook

I have some command hooks outside on my siding. I put them up 4 years ago for Halloween decorations thinking they'd only last a season. They are still going strong.

I'm a dork!! I just got the siding hooks from Amazon. I went to see how to put them on my siding....dorkiness coming.......I forgot! The siding we have is vertical not horizontal. So the siding hooks won't work. I really thought these would be my answer. I guess not.

I have one that is in my shower that holds a rack (like the ones that go over your shower head) and has like 4 bottles of various soaps.. it gets very heavy and wet.. I must have put it up 10 years ago.. still going strong.. knock on wood.
