I'd like to wear heels for my son's wedding, but I don't want my feet to be dying! Please tell me there are actually heels out there that are comfortable!

I find plenty of heels to be pretty comfortable, but wedges or block heels are usually the most comfortable.

You could try Clark's. I just bought some low heels and some wedges from there and they're very comfortable. I just can't do high heels anymore.

I wore a previous season's version of these when I was a groomsmaid in my brother's wedding last year. I was on my feet from 3 PM to 11 PM and was fine. It was a formal garden wedding, so I had to walk over grass, etc. and didn't want a sharp heel.

My Crocs. hehe I don't wear heels. Not even to my son's wedding. (Which might actually be happening within the next year).

What is your budget for the shoes? Are you wanting block heels, wedges or stilettos? Strappy shoe or a pump? Some of the brands that I've found comfortable: Margaux
AGLNaturalizer (DD likes these for work related conventions where she is on her feet a lot)

I have problem feet, so I can't wear heels, but Clarks, Vionic and Alegria have some 1-2 inch formal shoes I can wear all day. They're what I wear to work. For the past 2 seasons, supply chain issues mean I can't restock in the fall as I'd like, so now I'm seriously overdue for some new black work shoes.

If I wear heels now, it is usually wedges. I try not to wear heels anymore. When I used to wear high heels, I found that having a soft padding under the front part of the foot really helped. A good insole is an absolute must!

I find plenty of heels to be pretty comfortable, but wedges or block heels are usually the most comfortable. Look at dancer's shoes, which range from 2-3" depending on the type of dance they are designed for (ballroom, Latin, etc.). Amazon link gives you an idea of the style of heel to look for and if you want something higher than 3" go for a platform wedge unless you are used to wearing heels.

Another vote for Clarks. Mine are very basic with a block heel and I'd like something more stylish but they are comfortable for a wedding or funeral.

I also have problem feet. Heels are awful and I find any kind of narrow strap situation very uncomfortable.
Wedges with or without a small platform are best for me when I need to look dressy. Clarks usually has something decent but be prepared to spend.
25 years ago my SIL chose cute little kitten heels for her bridesmaids with narrow satin straps that dug into your feet like knives. She was sure they'd be so comfortable because of the lower heel. I wanted to die after having them on for 30 minutes. Longest day of my life.
Whatever you buy, I encourage you to wear it around the house for quite a while before deciding to keep it. What feels reasonable in the store may not feel that way after you've been on your feet for a while.

I wore a long dress to my son’s wedding and was able to avoid heels. I look like a little kid playing dress up when I try to walk in real heels.

I have lots of wedges that are extremely comfortable. For more formal events, I'll pick a strappy heel vs enclosed as they tend to be more comfortable for me.

I have tons of comfortable heels - I used to wear them every day. I love a block heel. The only ones I find uncomfortable are stilettos or a very harrow heel.

I have a pair of Sam Edelman 2 inch heel black sandals that I've worn for probably 15 years. They are very comfortable, easy to walk in and are a classic that have remained stylish. Bought them at Nordstrom.

Comfortable heels - oxymoron. You beat me to it! Word for word what I was going to say. For me, if I absolutely had to wear heels (ugh) I would choose a block heel or a wedge, and it would need to be half the height of the gorgeous shoes busy posted!

Block heel.
I have two pairs of block heels from Stuart weitzman and I can wear them all evening. My girls have similar ones from Steve Madden.
They are open toe. I find open toe more comfortable.

I rarely wear heels but I would recommend Clark’s too. And try to break them in around the house before the big day so you get used to walking in them.

I wear heels a lot. The slope of the heel and the cushion of the insole have a lot to do with comfort, as does proper fit. If money is no object and you have the time, True Gault custom makes leather heels from photos of your feet. I agree with those who recommended Clarks, Vionic and Naturalizer (though the price increase on naturalizer was high enough to put me off-I get that prices go up but from $80 to $120 in a year is excessive). My absolute favorite shoes, though, are Ruby Shoo. The indulgence line has a squishy padded insole. They come out of the UK and have some unique prints and patterns. Zulilly sells the previous season’s leftovers for a steal.

I might pick up a pair from them.

Asics sneakers. I know. Not much help. I can tolerate aerosoles. You might see if they make dressier style pumps.

Totally agree with a couple of PPs. Wedges are typically comfortable for me. If they're over 2.5" high, I look for a platform.
I have wide foot, narrow heel, and lots of foot problems (and two foot surgeries so far, need a third). I will not wear uncomfortable shoes! I buy from Zappos, and will purchase 4-5 pairs if I'm looking for a dress shoe and am not sure about the fit/comfort, returning all but the most comfortable. Zappos is so awsome about that! Good luck!
