We have very little natural light down there. We finished the basement when we moved in but it's been about 15 years and the walls are a testament to a life of high speed low drag kids, their friends and endless things being hauled in and out.
I also need something that's going to hold up well to hands running along the wall since we now have little grandkids and the belongings/furniture will probably still be getting moved up and down the stairs a lot.
What have you done in your basements that's not basic white?
We do have our micro-home gym room down there which is Benjamin Moore Nautilus and a Sauna nook which is painted a charcoal (I love it. It's soothing and peaceful. Don't judge.). We also have a tiny cupboard under the stairs that I really want to turn into a reading nook for the grandkids, but man, we have so much STUFF that I don't know if it's ever going to happen.

How about Revere Pewter? Light and airy and would go with your other picks (also Ben Moore)

The stairway can be a different color from the rest, but of course coordinated. Or use the same color but one more a durable finish on the stairway, gloss or satin for scrubbing.

Yes, we definitely need something that can stand up to kids, DH and cleaning. You'd think someone had been wrestling on the stairs and landing since day 1.

We did 50% agreeable gray sw - to brighten it up and not be boring white.

Just so you know, marine paint is really tough.
Although not sure if it is lead free, safe for inside.

I would go quite a bit lighter than you think, simply because there isn’t a lot of natural light. Something along the lines of Balboa Mist or Pale Oak, which are both Benjamin Moore colors.

Our basement is Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray and the trim is all white. We have an accent wall of Rock Bottom - We put the tv on that one - DH is always wanting a "bigger" one, so this gives the illusion of bigger. HAHA! He disagreed, but went with it and that wall looks great!
