I'm not feeling any of these three Christmas lines. Maybe a couple of sheets and some die-cuts from Simple Vintage October 31st? I don't know. Nothing's grabbing my attention here.  As an aside, are we doing one single thread for Christmas and Halloween this year? The amount of collections is huge so I'd vote for separate ones as usual, personally. |

Baking Spirits Bright is way too much like last year's Busy Sidewalks from Crate Paper in my opinion. The colour scheme, the biscuits, the houses. I'm really surprised Simple Stories went this way. If anything, it feels like an AliExpress knock-off version. Hearth & Holiday with the orange slices + cabin + poinsettias indicates that Simple Stories are playing catch-up with other companies rather than innovating. They're a solid year behind on what big players are doing. There's no freshness there for me. Not gonna lie, I'm disappointed. I like the Vintage Halloween and some of the Vintage Christmas and will pick up some individual sheets of those and maybe an embellishment or two to add to my already large Halloween and Christmas stash, but will not buy an entire collection. I am really trying to only purchase individual pieces that can be used with my existing supplies. I am not ready for Fall and December yet!!!!  |

Simple Stories may not be innovative with their aesthetic this year, they are bringing a new and interesting product to the market: a set of 8 Christmas recipe dividers that fit their 6x8 albums. A great idea to recycle a 6x8 album as a family heirloom!  |

Oh, fudge. I knew when Booty mentioned Christmas lines in another thread it was coming. I like the colors and brightness in Peppermint, but nothing is screaming at me that I need to purchase. (yet) Thanks for keeping us in the loop, ladies. |

Oh!!! That Halloween line has Daisy D vibes! I do like the Christmas stamp set (Mix and a Mingle)! Nice to see words that will work on scrapbook pages and not just cards! I don't love the Santa though. I don't care for the color combination in the collection, but I like the graphics. Nothing is really standing out in the other Christmas lines too.

I'm digging some of the Halloween (I need zero fall papers but who am I kidding, I'm sure some will fall into my cart) but not any of the Christmas. The last 2 years Simple Stories Christmas collections have been my jam so I'm surprised. I will probably pick-up a couple of papers for the B sides from the Vintage Christmas line but nothing else is grabbing me. I still haven't even started DD 2021 and I'm about 1/2 way on DD2020. I'm hoping to crack open those albums once we finally find a house and I get my stuff back. I can't wait for our DD mega thread sleepingbooty! |

Don't think I am in the Christmas spirit. None of it is grabbing my attention. The colours on the Christmas lines all seem muddy to me. The Halloween ones do too, but somehow I like it better, there.
The only thing I am hoping to see alot more of this year are those snow-covered A-frame houses; in other lines later and maybe a sticker set for cards. I saw a few last year, and since this company has picked up the image, and all of them seem to group think, I can hope...

Looking back CP posts between June and July for Christmas and Halloween lines. Really hope they have a new Halloween line this year. Enjoy their Christmas lines too, especially since it is so easy to cross lines due to similar colors.
I am looking forward to seeing what Cocoa Vanilla releases too. Just picked up quite a bit if their 2021 line.

Hmmm...looking at the Christmas lines it makes me realize that I enjoy a more whimsical Christmas line over formal/traditional ones. There are pieces in both Mix and A-Mingle and Baking Spirits Bright that I would like to pick up (not that I need anymore Christmas paper, ever). I agree with the similarities between Baking Spirits Bright and City Sidewalks from last year. I only picked up a few sheets, but I might get some of this because I am regretting not buying more of it. I will definitely buy the embellishments as that is lacking in my holiday stash.
I'm getting ready to part with some of my supplies through a donation/garage sale and I think that I will take a closer look at what Christmas lines I am keeping to see if there is more I might want to purge (or just dedicate to card making) in favour of some new goodies I would be more apt to use.

LOVE mix and a-mingle. Do you guys follow leilani_scraps? This SCREAMS her. Love everything about this.

More vintage and way-too-dark-for-me Christmas with the Christmas Lodge line.
Baking Spirits Bright is cute but too cute for me. I like the tag paper though -- I always love SS tag papers lol
Hearth & Holiday is fine, not for me though. Much like the vintage it's too dark but I like the blues! Its very.. wholesome? I don't know how else to describe it lol
Overall I need nothing... buuuuuuuut 🙃

I LOVE the Mix and A-Mingle collection. This is a definite purchase for me.
I like Baking Spirits Bright, even though it's a close match to City Sidewalks, which I also liked. The SS collection reads a bit brighter to me, which I actually prefer. I can see picking up one or two of the embellishment packs. I like some of the patterned paper b-sides (for non-holiday uses) so I could see grabbing some of those patterns, too.
I wasn't expecting to like any of the vintage Halloween collection, but I do. I like the bottom half of the 12x12 sticker sheet with the tabs, tickets and phrases.
I'm not one for a traditional christmas color palette so the rest of the holiday collections are not for me.

I am so not ready for Christmas lines. I typically find SS to be too dark and traditional for my taste, and overall these are as expected. I like some of the embellishments in the Mix and A Mingle line with their brighter, happier colours.
