The thread about the kindle reminded me that I bought an oasis last year and hardly ever use it. I am so tech challenged, and I just don't understand how to access books easily. I share the books with my kids with their paperwhites (all live away from home at college/grad school). My daughter finished a book so I thought I would try. But I can't figure how to get to the beginning of the book. I was up until 1 am last night getting so frustrated!
Is there a good oasis tutorial, either video or article that anyone has used? I can't find the instructions that came with the oasis. Some videos I found last night were pretty old, and my oasis is from 2021, so not sure if they changed the model.

I just searched on YouTube for "manual for Kindle Oasis" and some promising looking videos came up. Maybe browse there. Don't just search on "Kindle Oasis" because you'll get mostly "should I buy an Oasis" videos, or comparisons between the Oasis and the Paperwhite.
But for your specific question, to go to any location in a book (including back to the beginning): 1. Open your book to whatever page it opens up on (whether you're in the middle, the end, or anywhere else). 2. Tap in the upper left corner. 3. From the menu that appears choose the symbol with the three lines. Mine looks like this: __ _ ____ _ ___ _
That should bring up the table of contents where you'll see the option "beginning", or any other chapter you want to go to.

Also, to get books easily from the library....Personally I think it's easier to get mine by using the online site via my laptop, rather than using the app on my phone. All libraries might be a bit different but basically: 1. browse the online catalogue until you find a book with an ebook option. 2. click "borrow" -- This will check it out to you and then you'll find it on your account. 3. go to the list of checked out books that are on your account and find the ebook on the list. 4. Here's where libraries may differ from each other... You might have to click "download" or "read with Kindle" or "access online"... but click whatever option it says and it should take you to Amazon where you'll "get library book". Make sure your Kindle's wifi is on (i.e., not in airplane mode) and the book will magically appear in a few seconds. Also, I'd bet your library system has people at the library who can help you with this. Ours does and it does help to have your Kindle right there as they explain.

I get your frustration. I do not find it a very intuitive device. I go through phases of using it and always forget how to do certain functions and it is annoying.
