I’ve tried a couple different brands and Baby Foot works the best.

Baby Foot. It works very well, almost too well. My feet were sensitive for awhile when the new skin was exposed.

I have tried baby foot and another brand and baby foot worked better. Do it soon, though, because it takes some time for the peeing to finish and you want it done before sandal season.

Thanks so much! How many times do you need to do it?
I live in sandals practically year round here in Cali.

Agree with Baby Foot. I usually do it twice a year, but I do have monthly pedicures from March-December. Other than Jan/Feb, it's pretty much flip flop weather here the rest of the year.

Darn. I just threw out Gary's ostomy supplies. One of his Hospice nurses told me that these sticky pads we used to hold his ostomy gear onto his skin. When you shower and then use the stick pads (and let them dry), the skin on your heels and feel doesn't get more dried or cracked. I put my coconut bodybutter on top of that once it's thoroughly dried.
If I find another packet of his, I'll let you know the name. Too bad I just threw out about 50 boxes of it!!

I use Baby Foot and have used other brands and they worked just as well for about 1/2 the cost. I have no idea the brand name though. Just remember that it does take days (7-10) in many cases for the feet to start peeling and when they do, they peel. I have done it in winter and thought it wasn't working very well and then I emptied out my socks and was happily disgusted. I did my first one a week before a vacation and my feet peeled for the first half of vacation. Lesson learned.

Babyfoot. I do it every three months, and my feet are fantastic… I used to have such bad cracks in my heels that they would bleed!
Tips: Soak your feet for 30 minutes before you put them on. Also, plug the bottom of the shower (so you’re standing in a couple of inches of water) and the peeling will start within a couple of days. Buff your feet with the towel when you get out of the shower, too. (And definitely no lotion on your feet!)
It takes me about a week to completely peel when I do these things.

If you let it peel on it’s own, no. If you get impatient and peel it (like a sunburn) but only what’s ready, still no. If your sister goes to town on it while you’re getting a facial and peels it before it’s ready, yes. 😬😂 It does feel a little weird when I’m rinsing the peel off… it’s sort of tingly and cold, but not painful. ETA: I’m barefoot unless I am in a public place, though, so my feet aren’t sensitive.

Does Baby Foot work on heavily calluses big toes and heels? I get bad cracks in both in our 6-month winter.

Hahahaha. This brings up a fun memory. My DD brought some to a weekend getaway, and I did it not knowing the timeline or scope of the peeling to come.
I ended up going in for an outpatient heart procedure during the height of the peeling ugliness. I was so embarrassed, for some reason my feet had to be uncovered as I was wheeled into the room, but the nurses were all amused when I explained.

I hated the peeling with foot masks. I've been using O'Keefe's Healthy Feet (foot cream) in the blue jar (use the jar one not the tube) and my normally very cracked feet are sandal ready! I am amazed at how well it works, I used it every day at first and got results fairly quickly. Now I use it every few days to keep them looking good.

How many times do you need to do it? I use it once in the spring - but I live in the midwest. It gets me through the summer.. Does Baby Foot work on heavily calluses big toes and heels? I get bad cracks in both in our 6-month winter. It's crazy how well it works - but prep right. Soak your feet really well first. At least take a long warm/hot shower, but a soak in the tub is better. Don't plan on doing anything while you have the bags on your feet. Give yourself some free time - watch a movie or something. I think it says to leave on an hour, but I go longer. 1.5 to 2 hours. I put the plastic bags on, tape them closed, then put a pair of thick socks on over that. Then kick back and watch a movie. It's hard to walk in them. So that's why I recommend some free time. The pre-soak is really important. Then give it some time. But you should start to see the peel stating in 3-4 days. Soaking again helps the peel. It's freaky, and satisfying! LOL

I'm a little creeped out after seeing pix of the peeling, I must say!

I learned a trick to save on cost. Do one foot at a time and use the same mask. Then one pair lasts for two peelings. I’ve never had a problem with one foot peeling less than the other.
